Irrespective of it being a Gravis poll, this wouldn't surprise me in any poll of the Senate race. Simply put, there are plenty of "WV Democrats" who would be willing to vote for a politically-incorrect loony-tunes coal baron over home-grown Manchin, but who would pick Manchin in a heartbeat over some posh-looking out-of-stater.

Gravis can't really be trusted that much, and I doubt that Manchin's up by that much right now. I do agree that Morrisey isn't a great candidate, though. He might not be Blankensh*t or Roy Moore levels of bad, but he's just very generic and rather uninspiring.

I usually hate the "coastal elitist" accusation but if Manchin wants to use that against my fellow New Jerseyan, Morrisey, here I would actually be okay with that.
