This seems like they're just trying to pump up Morrisey's candidacy and manufacture the idea that he has a good shot. That he has only a 2-point lead is a sign of weakness, and means Manchin is probably still leading(though not by 2012 margins, but still).

WPA is usually around higher-single digits to the right than the truth, so Manchin is likely up by around 4-6 at this point.

This is pretty much where Morrissey would like to be at this point. If those numbers for Manchin fav. among undecideds (-29) are near accurate, he's swimming in deep water.
