I think there is going to be a serious opening for a moderate Dem (like Bullock if he wants it) because it seems like everyone is racing to snatch up Bernie's base and forgetting everyone else.

Yeah, I also doubt that the party has moved as far left as the candidates think.
It’s odd how much they all seem to parrot each other. There’s probably more gain by establishing a distinct (moderate) identity.

Correct, it's even further left than even Sanders or Gillibrand thinks.

The United States used to have postal banking until the 60s and many other countries in the World from Germany to Brazil have some form of it in existence. Rhetoric aside this is less of a huge shift to the left as it is a shift towards good policy.
