Well well....it seems that I'm now tasked with making an acceptance speech, LOL.  

A short while ago, Peebs contacted me and (very graciously, I might add) privately conceded this race.  She was a tough customer in this, a very close, Southern election.  I thank Peebs for her enthusiasm, and service to this region.  Being that she has been elected to the Atlasian legislature, I am happy to see that this service will continue.  

Now that the election is over, it's time to get down to business, and actually govern.  In the coming days, I will be setting up my staff, as well as pondering ideas to make the South better for all citizens.  

Although I am not constitutionally required to do so, I will be giving a State of the Region Address.  This speech will outline my plans for the next term, and what I would like to see the Chamber of Delegates take up.  Citizen input will be key to what, specifically, the new session will look like.  During the campaign, I said that my administration would be more responsive to the needs of its people.  This is a promise that, as your governor, I will do the utmost to keep.  

Finally, I would be remiss in not thanking my supporters, as well as my incredible team of advisers. If not for the hard work of people like Mr. Reactionary, Mr. Haslam, and others, this victory would have never been possible. Indeed, this triumph came only through much dedication on the part of my supporters. This is not just a victory for me, it is a victory for all Southerners. 

Let us now share in our common goals of liberty, prosperity, and justice for all.  It's time to get to work! Thanks for listening.
