A poll by Berkeley IGS has Gavin Newsom leading John Cox and Travis Allen. It's weird how SurveyUSA has Villariagosa's numbers so high compared to other pollsters. Poll also found that Republicans are more likely than Democrats to turn out and vote this June. Looks like all the focus on the sanctuary state might backfire on the Dems.

Newsom 30%
Cox 18%
Allen 16%
Villariagosa 9%

California has had the worst district-level and generic polling for Democrats of all individual state polls this year. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a counter-wave.

These Villariagosa numbers in all the polls are weird. From what I've seen and heard, he's well positioned to make it to the run-off and then lose to Newsom in the GE. Still hope Cox or Allen will go to November because Dem vs. Dem races are less interesting.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Republican breaks 40% in the general.

Yeah, most CA dems are ridiculous. I would like to see a Republican put up a fight in the GE, granted I would still vote for the dem.

Getting over 40% wouldn't be much of a challenge for Cox, but getting the other 10% would basically be Mission impossible even if Newsom killed a man on live television, too many zombie voters who will blindly vote for the D next to the name

Also, this poll gave respondents all 27 candidates as options to vote for.

Nearly all voters these days are zombies who will vote for whoever has an R or a D next to their name.

+100. In North Texas Devil (R) will easily defeat God Almighty (D), in Bay Area - Devil (D) will do the same with God (R). Idiocy, but - fact...
