Okay, then not. I thought Northwest Illinois were somewhat hipsterous. Perhaps, it was a simple misunderstanding.

Iowa City, IA has some pretty bizarre people. Thats probably Iowa's hipster containment area

You can say that again.

Ain't the counties adjacent to Iowa much more hipsterous than Cook County?
Ha, no.

That area, both rural and urban portions, is heavily working-class whites. You'll find far more hipsters in Bloomington-Normal than you'd find in Peoria or Rock Island.

Actually Peoria has quite the scene.  Also the home of cult Christian hardcore band Subsist.

Washington:

-For sheer amount of hipsters - King, obviously

-For highest percent of hipsters per capita - Jefferson. Thurston might also have a higher ratio.

Whichever counties have the largest percentage being college students, with perhaps a few Mountain West exceptions for ski counties. (Certainly Blaine and not Madison is the correct answer for Idaho, for instance).

The answer for Ohio is not Cuyahoga or Franklin, but Athens. By far.

Most people that fall into the "hipster" vibe these days are in their 30's.

Peoria has a bit of everything, as it was known to throughout the 20th Century.  Large Black population, lots of working class Whites, the Warehouse District has quite a yuppie character now a days, a very large and influential business community, etc.
