Florida gun control activist David Hogg wins the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination against Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Montana Gov. Steve Bullock. He faces off against President Donald Trump, who wins GOP renomination.

Hogg vs. Trump. Who wins? Discuss with maps.

How far does Hogg go regarding gun control, and what are his views on other issues?

Unfortunately 99% of the electorate has never heard of David Hogg, so Trump wins easily.

This would be a dream scenario for Trump (and more importantly, Putin).

I assume Trump would win unless the economy is really in the crapper, because a gun control advocate probably isn't going to win back the Rust Belt or flip any Sun Belt states.

Mr. Hogg wants sharp and tough restrictions on guns.

He runs on gun control, racial equality and economics.

You think Hogg would lose his own home state? Can he win the crucial I-4 corridor (Tampa area)?

I don't see why he'd win Florida when he's never been elected to anything there.

Wait a minute, David Hogg is a teenager and won't be eligible for the POTUS until the '36 election. Why are you wasting people's time with this nonsense? Trump wins literally by default because his opponent is ineligible.

LOL, I didn't even bother looking him up before I posted in this thread.
Bronz makes tons of threads about literal nobodies running for President, this is nothing new.

It's alternative elections. He's 36 years old in this thread. Come on. It's alternatives.

Just make a timeline where that rule is changed and people are allowed to run if they are old enough to vote. Done

In 2020, even if you change part of the constitution specifically for him, Hogg doesn't have enough experience to mount a viable campaign for POTUS. His highest hopes would be running mate or as an important asset to the Democratic campaign. (the latter his most viable hopes IRL)

It would be actually interesting though if you set an election in 2036 where David Hogg, a senator from Florida, runs against Ivanka Trump or her father's political heir.

I wonder how Hogg would do with black voters.

Would a white suburban male from Florida excite black voters?

Here's two possibilities:

**Activist David Hogg (D-FL)/Montana Gov. Steve Bullock (D-MT)-297 EV/50.2%
President Donald Trump (R-N.Y.)/Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN)-241 EV/48.3%
**Assuming Hogg runs as Democratic

Hogg would win his home state of Florida by appealing heavily to suburban liberal voters in South Florida, and some conservative-leaning independents on guns. He wins PA because of suburban white women and black voters.

Or:

President Donald Trump (R-N.Y.)/Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN)-390 EV/52.5%

Activist David Hogg (D-FL)/Montana Governor Steve Bullock (D-MT)-198 EV/48.2%
**Assuming Hogg runs as Democratic

Trump uses Hogg's gun control as a campaign strategy to defeat him in Middle America, especially places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and other places. Trump uses Hogg's gun control to smear him in Florida and wins in a bigger landslide and the popular vote than in 2016.

Could Hogg even win his home state of Florida?
