I think this will be the banner issue for the 2020 nominee. It's perfect. Nowhere near as polarizing as free tuition or single-payer. We can ram that stuff through once we get Dems control of Washington.

Free college tuition and universal healthcare should still be things to push for, hard.

So apparently this program would cost $500B per year way more than what free college would cost and probably about what a universal health care system would cost annually. If they want to push this they need a clear way of paying for it or sacrifice other proposals for this one.

I share views with Gillibrand, Sanders or Booker. America needs a program like this, but it should be tested before, as Booker plans.

*bump*

Julian Castro supports Booker's bill:

https://theintercept.com/2018/06/08/julian-castro-2020-presidential-election/

He also says he backs a $15 minimum wage, making the first two years of college free, and some version of Medicare for all, though he didn't get into specifics.

I don’t really think that it’s possible for a test to be representative of the whole program. Maybe an 8 year statewide program in California, but the main points of a job program can’t be evaluated unless it becomes a long-term institution IMO.
