What one political figure would inspire you enough to work whenever you had free time (or maybe full time, if possible) for that person in a campaign?

My answer is obvious. Let's hear some others.

My answer is your answer also, though I'd have to list Zell Miller and John Thune also. Also, a moderate like Breaux or Curt Weldon.

currently?  none that i can think of.  id certainly volunteer for jane swift if she were to run again.

if i could choose a past politician it would be terry sanford.  he is my political role model.  if i could go back in time id campaign barefoot for him if i had to.

You have a problem with Breaux and Weldon? I didn't expect that.

Of the current political figures, I'd have to say Arlen Specter, Lindsay Graham, Jodi Rell, and John McCain.

I'm not inspired by a politician.

There are lots of people who I admire, but I don't really try to follow them in life, or even be like them, except to learn what I can from people who I think have a lot to share.

Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Robert F. Kennedy -and maybe Paul Wellstone.

No living politician -with the possible exception of John McCain during the 1999-2000 Republican primaries- really excites my imagination, unfortunately.

--yeah, your answer is Rob Casey right? Wink

Hmm, in no particular order
George Washington
Thomas Jefferson
Barry Goldwater
Harry Browne--biggest inspiration
Grover Cleveland
John Ashcroft-as he works in an adverse way and makes me more libertarian
John Locke
to a lesser extent: Ronald Reagan and Candice Miller

This wasn't really meant for people to bash the choices of others but...yeah, I agree.

It's just who gives you inspiration. There are no right or wrong, sane or insane, answers to that and his is no worse or better than everyone else's on here.
