I hope the next  president orders the CIA to kidnap Assange. Anyone who protests that all the sudden Assange is being held in federal detention all of the sudden can swiftly be given real things to cry about. I mean. It could be worse. If Assange was spying for Democrats, a Republican brining using the spooks to drag his ass in would probably dispense with Due Process and just waterboard him at Guantanamo Bay  for the rest of his parasitic life. Then again, it was a Democrat that ordered that bin Laden to get another hole in his head and made to sleep with the fishes in the Indian Ocean.

No need to. As soon as he leaves the Embassy, the British police will arrest him for his breach of bail conditions. An extradition request will be filed in short order.

wouldn't anyone from the outside trying to help him stay in the Embassy be committing the misprison of a felony?

For good reason, Mueller has been working with state prosecutors in at least New York state for violation of state laws (such as evasion of state income and use taxes) for which the President has no power of pardon.

I can imagine Trump pardoning him, but he would have to get Paul Man-o'-Fraud out of the United States very fast, most likely to Russia... by way of Cuba, if necessary.

I suspect that Paul Man-o-'Fraud is satisfied that the fix is all but in, and that a Presidential pardon ensures that he has no bigger problem to face than Russian winters.

Manafort’s Lawyer Said to Brief Trump Attorneys on What He Told Mueller

This isn't particularly news, but it takes on new meaning in light of Mueller's apparent belief that he can prove Manafort lied.

It now seems plausible that this line of questioning was actually to convince Dumb Donnie and his lickspittles that Mueller didn't already have solid evidence he knew about the Trump Tower meeting.

I never quite realised that Rudy is short for "Rudolph". His nose is pretty red from all the lying, I'dsay.

It's unsurprising that Trump would assert this, but if Mueller has evidence that contradicts these claims...buckle up.

What choice did he have? admit to conspiring with a hostile foreign government to commit election fraud or perjure himself in the hopes he won't get caught (if he gets caught he has both things to worry about but Trump should know a thing or two about gambling so...)

No, because that specific offence has been abolished in England and Wales. Along with specific felony/misdemeanour distinctions.

Keep in mind that Manafort and Roger Stone have consulting ties back to the 80’s when they were part of Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly.

Trump is not the target here, but it's possible some of his stuff got swept up in their probe.
