A Note from the GM

Turn: This turn will last for one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours, ending on the afternoon of February 16 (Friday).

2016 Budget: The government has until the end of the day on February 12 (Monday) to submit its budget for the fiscal year of 2016. This does not need to be a complete document; rather, it should outline any major changes to federal spending and the tax code the government proposes to make. Once a budget has been introduced, opposition parties and backbenchers will have until the end of the day on February 15 (Thursday) to either support or oppose the measure. Be warned: should parliament fail to pass a budget, it would mean the collapse of the government's mandate and likely necessitate an early election.

Appointments: Trudeau and Scheer may choose to appoint their backbenchers to positions in the cabinet (in the former's case) or the shadow cabinet (in the latter's).
