Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to an alternate world where Lamar Alexander stayed in the 2000 Republican Primary while George W. Bush and John McCain didn't run either. Here is the result of the 2000 Republican Primary:

The Democratic Primary would go as in OTL but when the GE started, both candidates were neck and neck in the polls until Al Gore had a major Gaffe during the third Presidential Debate where he accused Lamar Alexander of not being a failure before being rebutted with Lamar's rather grand career thus far. He would go on to win the General Election in a Landslide mainly because Ralph Nader and Donald Trump ran as Independents and thus split the Democrat vote a lot in several states like MN, FL, WA, OR, MI, PA, OH, WI, NH, CT, RI, MD, NJ, and DE. Here is the election Map:

Former SOE. Lamar Alexander (R-TN)/Former SOH. Newt Gingrich (R-GA): 407/42.3%
VP Al Gore (D-TN)/Former Shadow Sen. Jesse Jackson (D-DC): 131/39.4%
Mr. Donald J. Trump (I-NY)/Former Gov. Jesse Ventura (I-MN): 0/16.2%
Mr. Ralph Nader (G-CT)/Mrs. Winona LaDuke (G-MN): 0/2.1%

Following this election, the Alexander Presidency has faced many twists and turns that would bring down weaker presidents. With an Approval Rating just hovering at 54%, The GOP needs to either keep Alexander in the WH for 4 more years or replace him. At the same time, the DEMs must find a better candidate that can match and easily crush any Candidate the Republicans nominate.

Game will automatically start once there are 3 candidates per party and you may play as an independent candidate or as a member from the Green or Libertarian Parties but you must start early on. to get a huge following. The current year is 2003. I will post Timeline that will go with Turn 4 once enough Candidates have posted their announcement speeches.

2. 5 Endorsements per turn. PM me for permission then post them in your campaign schedule.
Endorsements for our candidates, right? And from any non-running candidate? I assume the PM is to make sure the endorsements are reasonable for the candidate.
3. you have a maximum of 6 Ads per Turn
Is there any penalty for using all 6 per turn?
4. Players are encourage to post, for each round, a schedule for the Month. It can be as in-depth as an hourly itinerary for the candidate, or it can be as general as a summary of the entire Month
Is each turn one month?

What's the downside to using all 6 ads as opposed to less?

You won't be able to use them as a way to get your record across if you have only attack ads per turn, which will be a double edged sword. Same for if you use them for positives about your record.

HILLARY CLINTON ANNOUNCEMENT SPEECH

“Hello America! Most of you probably remember me! I am Hillary Rodham Clinton. My husband was president Bill Clinton. I’m here today to officially announce that I am running for President! For the past 4 years we have had bad leadership. All Americans have not been represented. I’m here to tell you: we will stand up for the rights of all Americans. Whatever background you’re from. If you’re male or female, Caucasian or African-American or Hispanic Or Chinese, If you’re gay or straight. My administration will be one for every American. Of all religions, all races, all economic classes, all sexualities. I promise. We need to break this glass ceiling and elect our first female president. Women can do anything. I’m here to shatter the glass ceiling. I will work across the aisle if elected. With Republicans and Democrats in Congress! I look forward to seeing President Alexander on the debate stage! Thank you!”

It's encouraged to do all 6, if you want, then? Just not all attacking or positive?

Sorry for all the questions, I've not played an election game like this before.

Good morning, America! I come before you today to announce my candidacy for the Presidency of the United States! Yes, I'm running again. When we announced our campaign, against all odds, in 2000, we finished the election tripling the result we got in 1996. If we can do that again, triple our support, we can attain federal fund matching in 2008. Though I want to tell you. I'm in it to win it in 2004. In 1992, 19% of the country, despite the risk of a "spoiler" came out against the two party duopoly. Just eight years later, in 2000, 18% of the nation once again voted against the two major parties. 40% of Americans are Independents (via Gallup Jan 2004, oldest data I could find). If we can harness most of that support, we can become a real third party. We can oust the two party tyranny from Washington and take the White House back to the American people! Don't believe you have to choose the lesser of two evils. Choose the positive good. We're running a people's campaign and if everyone dissatisfied with both similar parties votes for us, we will win in a landslide. For All of Us! Vote Green in 2004! Thank You!

An Announcement from President Alexander in Concord, NH:

”...Hello, my fellow Americans!!! We’ve gotten a lot done over these past four years here in Washington!!! We’ve worked across the isle instead of engaging in meaningless partisan bickering, we’ve kept America safe and sound, we’ve kept the economy and domestic issues in check. I’m proud of what we’ve done, what we’ve accomplished. Before I make my announcement, I have but one question to ask my fellow Americans. Are you happy with the progress of the last four years? I want the chance to hear from you on this progress, so I’m announcing my candidacy for a second term to be your president for four more years!!! My team and I have made it our number one priority to make sure you can sleep safe and sound at night, to make sure you can feel comfortable with the state of our country, to make sure we make America that shining city on a hill. My friends, it’s morning in America again. Thank you!!!...”
