Continuing is preferable. I'd offer to do it myself but my record isn't great(though my circumstances were pretty different) and leaves us with a gaping hole where Tywin was. I'd definitely be willing to help though once again that reduces player count

I’d continue on as Jon Arryn if we got someone else to take over, but honestly if we can’t continue I wouldn’t be too fussed

I would love to continue if possible, if not, I would vote for an epilogue, as things were left a little unfinished. I have loved this RP, but I definitely understand life getting in the way.

I agree with Mycool, roughly. Like Leonardo I'm tempted to offer my services but I think I won't quite get enough time to be a reliable successor at this stage...

If Lumine gives me the dice rolls, I could push out an update tonight. I don't necessarily have a solution for after that though.

Well, my track record isn't any better, having abandoned the third game. So I'm not sure I should volunteer to take over.

I'd certainly like to know how this turn went though.

I think the problem is that if I turn over the info to Leonardo he would be later unable to play, as he'd know crucial info on the other player (the same applies to anyone who wishes to update or host). I'll leave the weekend for people to think it over on whether to volunteer as the new GM, so an informed decision is made.

I think losing Tywin is too severe to suffer at this point with other vacancies. Id rather we all open up about the turn's orders and just do a round table on things rather than force out a product. If I were to run game it would be of my own design; either

A: People create their own houses, borrowing names from the lexicon and flashing out their own trees and recent histories, a fan of statecraft and nation building

B: A game set during the reign of post-conquest starting and possibly ending during peacetime, more focused on intrigue and behind the scenes affairs rather than an explosion of total war from the outset. A game of characters moreso than nations, essentially the antithesis of the above.

I do have one suggestion: a pause and epilogue could be a basis for a sequel / resumption at some point when we're all up for it? I feel the state of play we've reached is extremely interesting and shouldn't be wasted!

I agree, Garlan. And while I'm not sure yet about running a future game, I definitely have the time and motivation to write up the end of this last turn and an Epilogue tonight and Thursday. If we're amenable to that we can have Lumine send me what he has and I'll take it from there.

Lol at Dayne dragging Stark away on his horse.

Thoroughly unexpected in both content and release, well done Lumine! I knew the faith stuff was bubbling but there were some unexpected offshoots...

I had a feeling distance would be a huge issue but thought I could rush cavalry there... Tywin taking an extra day to deal with Cersei may have done it : /

Great update, Lumine!  As far as the outcome of the trial, that's about as well as I could hope for.

Glad you're doing better!

I think the idea is to pause it; too far away from a conclusion for an epilogue.

I think the idea is to pause it; too far away from a conclusion for an epilogue.

Indeed, as Leonardo noted the game is actually far from an end point given the current conflicts, particularly since a decisive battle will probably emerge to control King's Landing. On the other hand, while I did manage to post an update after a personal struggle it is clear I am still in no state of mind to continue hosting, and since the scenario remains interesting I think there's a lot of merit to pausing until a new GM emerges and the game resumes its course.

Instead of an epilogue and if the players so wish we might work towards a series of POV's to be released as a cliffhanger, noting what crucial characters are thinking or doing. This would necessarily involve several people writing, though.

I love the idea of several POVs. I would be enthusiastically willing to write a POV for Elia, though it would be quite amateur. How does everyone else feel about writing POVs?
