Ok--- not totally a joke thread... was surprised there was not already a thread on this board.

Still despite the fact that Iran is clearly not a democracy by any commonly accepted definitions, they do hold regular elections where frequently candidates not aligned with the hardliners are allowed to run for elected office after approval by the "vetting committee".

Now that even that window has been shrinking, a mass election boycott movement has taken hold.

Not sure to what extent we can expect government election agencies to fairly count the votes, but it's a bit more difficult to fake turnout numbers (I would imagine).

Iranian election results should start rolling out Province by Province within (24) hours with final "official results" within the next couple days.

Despite the sketchy basis of the numbers, one would imagine that the lower the turnout the greater degree of opposition to the current "fixed" Iranian election system.

Not sure if the provincial or final official numbers break down results by polling stations / cities, etc...

Thoughts Atlas Hive?
