Both are good as far as stability is concerned but I prefer the design of 7.

I enjoy 10 over 7, although the privacy issues and auto-updates are irksome.

7 was great, 10 is better.

edit-but I lived through Win95 and ME, so really, anything that doesn't crash daily and need to be reinstalled every several months is great to me Smiley

7 sucked.
8 was better
10 is flawless.

Windows 7. Why is there now two places for settings in W10, with the new one inferior to the old CP.

I prefer W7's Start Menu & aero interface to the W10's (which looks like they relented from W8's metro, but weren't prepared to completely give it up).

I'd only be upgrading W7 because of concern at the impending drop in security support (2020) and newer games requiring DX12.

Not at all. I'm very into the sleek, mobile-esque tiles. I also like Windows phone.

We thought it was bad when they dropped XP support, but that could be disastrous.

My laptop I'm on right now is Windows 7.  I still haven't gotten the hang of Windows 10, and will probably go to it kicking and screaming.

The worst was Vista.  I use Windows 10, which is fine.  I think I skipped over Windows 9 entirely- was that even a thing?

There was no 9. I guess skipping it is becoming a tech bandwagon.

Microsoft really found its limits in the smartphone era.

Nothing after 7-Android
