Romney campaigning with GOP Senate candidates:

Romney Campaigning for Senator Scott Brown

Romney Campaigning for Seate Candidate Tom Kean Jr

Romney campainging for Senator Bob McDonnell

Romney Campaigning for Senator Jim Talent

Anderson Cooper: Romney also campaigned in Ohio, West Virginia, Montana ,  New Mexico and Nevada for Senate Candidates

Wouldn’t Romney have aged somewhat after five years of being president?

Yes but I couldnt find any photos of him doing rallies in all these different states in 2018 so I had to use the 2012 ones.

Lets just say he has aged in these photos

CNN - America's Choice 2018 (Hour One)

7:00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz9xY_CoC_M

Wolf Blitzer: Welcome to CNN's Coverage of the 2018 Midterms where we will be telling you what the makeup of Congress will be over the next two years , and which people will be elected or reelected as Governors tonight. CNN is already ready to make its first projections and in the Senate, and we can project that Senator Mitch Daniels will be reelected as Senator of Indiana  and Green Party Senator Bernie Sanders will be reelected in Vermont. Virginia is currently too close to call.

Republicans: 41
Democrats: 25
Green: 1

In the Governors Race we can project that Henry McMaster will be elected to a full term as Governor of South Carolina , Phil Scott will be reelected as Governor of Vermont and In Georgia, we are saying Governor Deal will be reelected.  In Florida, the polls havent closed in the entire state so we wont be making any projection yet

Wolf Blitzer: Another major projection we have to make is the Republicans will hold the House but with a Significantly Reduced Majority. We are projecting the composition in the new House will be

Republicans: 228-240(-30 - -42)
Democrats: 195-207(+30 - +42)

Gloria Borger: I would say those are pretty good results for the Democrats as now the Romney admin will no longer have a house which will provide him, Carte Blanche, as he will have to deal with a significant Democratic Minority along with the Libertarian Republican Caucus who until now didn't have enough numbers to torpedo bills but now they will as Republicans cant get to a majority without them.

Van Jones: I agree and this result means Democrats will pick up at least 5 to 6 Senate seats which is a good thing as well. While it is disappointing that we didnt win back the house the amount of seats needed were 53 and a party getting a net gain of 53 seats in the House has only happened 4 times since World War 2: 1946 after Democrats had the trifecta for 14 years , 1948: Democrats gaining back all the seats they lost due to Truman running against the do nothing congress, 1994: A Realignmnet of the South to the GOP and fatigue after 40 years of Democratic Domianance, and 2010: the Worst Economy since the 1930s. None of these factors were present today so getting 50+ was a very tall task.

7:30

Wolf Blitzer: Its 7:30 in the east and we can make two projections and they are the seats of Ohio and West Virginia are currently too early to call.

Republicans: 41
Democrats: 25
Green: 1

In the Gubernatorial Races, we can project that Ohio is currently to close to call

John King: Currently with the information, we have West Virginia seems to be tilting to Senator Tennant advantage and Virginia to Senator McDonnell. But tonight is going to be a long night with many close races.

This should be interesting. A national RTW would allow workers to not be part of a union and pay union dues yet still receive the same pay hike as the other, union employees.

Collins and Murkowski killed the National RTW bill by saying they wouldnt vote for cloture on it. If they werent able to pass National RTW with this Congress, passing it would be nearly impossible after these midterms.

CNN - America's Choice 2018 (Hour Two)

8:00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz9xY_CoC_M

Wolf Blitzer: Its 8:00 in the East and CNN can project that in Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy has been reelected, in Deleware Senator Tom Carper as been Reelected , in Maine Independent Senator Angus King who caucuses with the Democrats has been reelected, in Maryland Senator Ben Cadin has been reelected ,in Massachusetts Congressman Ed Markley has defeated Senator Scott Brown giving the Democrats their first pickup of the night, in Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse has been reelected . For the Republicans in Florida we can project Senator Jeb Bush has been reelected, in Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker has been reelected and in Tennessee Senator Bob Corker has been reelected

Missouri, the Mississippi Special, New Jersey, Pennsylvania  are all too early to call . And now lets look at the overall results so far

Republicans: 44(-1)
Democrats: 31(+1)
Green: 1

In the Gubernatorial Races we can project that in Alabama Governor Kay Ivey will win a full term, in Massachuttes Governor Charlie Baker will be reelected, In New Hampshire Governor Havenstein will be reelected, in Oklahoma Mayor Mick Cornett will be win, in Tennessee State Speaker beth Harwell be elected. For the Democrats in Florida Governor Bill Nelson will be reelected,in Kansas we project Governor Paul Davis will be reelected Maryland Governor Anthony Brown will be reelected, in Maine Governor Mike Michaud has been reelected, in Pennslyvania Governor Tom Wolf Will be reelected

Connecticut, Illinois, Rhode Island are all too close to call

Don Lemon: So Far everything has gone as expected

If this happens then you probably would have created a TL for a second term of Obama.

Maybe not because one of the major reasons I made this TL is Romney losing in 2012 is what made Trump and his brand of Republicanism possible.

CNN - America's Choice 2018 (Hour Three)

9:00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz9xY_CoC_M

CNN Banner: Republicans to Retain Control of the Senate
Wolf Blitzer: We can project that the Republicans will retain the Senate for another two years and the reason for that is we can project that six more races have gone the Republicans way giving the Republicans at least a total of 50 seats meaning they will retain control of the Senate due to the VP. The Six Seats are Arizona- Where Senator Jeff Flake Has Been Reelected, Nebraska- Senator Deb Fischer has been reelected, North Dakota- Where Senator Rick Berg has been reelected, in Texas where Senator Ted Cruz has been reelected, Wyoming-Where Senator John Barrasso has been reelected, and in Ohio- Where Senator Josh Mandel has been reelected.

For the Democrats we can project that Senator Debbie Stabenow has been reelected in Michigan, in Minnesota - Senator Amy Klobuchar has been reelected and Senator Tina Smith will serve out the rest of Former Senator Franken's Term,in New York- Senator Kristin Gillibrand has been reelected.

New Mexico and Wisconsin are currently too close to call

Republicans: 50(-1)
Democrats: 35(+1)
Green: 1

In the Gubernatorial Races, we can project in Arizona- Governor Doug Ducey has been reelected, in Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has been reelected, in Texas -Governor Greg Abbott has been reelected , in Wisconsin - Governor Scott Walker has been reelected for a third term.

For the Democrats we can project that in Michigan - Governor Gretchen Whitmer has been reelected, in Minnesota - Governor Mark Dayton has been reelected , in New Mexico- Congresswomen Michelle Grisham will win meaning that the Democrats will pickup that Governor Seat, in New York- Governor Andrew Cuomo has been reelected to a third term

Colorado, South Dakota is too close to call

Anderson Cooper: No surprises once again so far tonight

Dana Bash- Nope but these results do show that the Democrats after 6 years of being lost in the political wilderness will now likely get some power again.

Wolf Blitzer: What is the state of these races so far

John King: Pennsylvania and West Virginia looks to be over due to Democrats making inroads in Western PA and winning big in Phili Metro due to Former Governor Rendell being the Candidate and West Virginia there doenst look to be enough votes for Republican to catch up. Virginia again with victories in  Chesapeake and Virginia Beach means the Republicans now have a pretty  good edge there. New Jersey currently looks like will come down to Middlesex County and Missouri will be super close as well due to both Talant Getting the numbers down here in Rural  Missouri that he needs and Former Senator MacCaksil getting the numbers in St Louis , and Kansas City.

9:30:

Wolf Blitzer: We can now project that in Pennsylvania - Former Governor Ed Rendell has defeated Republican Senator Steve Welch which gives the Democrats their 2nd pickup of the night and they have also held on to West Virginia as Senator Natalie Tennant has won.

Republicans: 50(-2)
Democrats: 37(+2)
Green: 1

Wolf: Ana how do you react

Ana Navarro: While I am not as happy as I have been in 2012,2014 and 2016 Republicans will still have the trifecta so many policies can pass. This though is a good night for the Democrats and they need to be congratulated for coming back after the debacle of 2016.

Van Jones: I am kinda happy tonight because Democrats are doing well but I wanna see more results before I make my final judgment.

CNN - America's Choice 2018 (Hour Four)

10:00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz9xY_CoC_M

Wolf Blitzer: Its 10 in the East and we have some more projections, in Utah - we can project that Evan McMullin has won meaning he will be the next senator from the state. We are also ready to make a projection in New Mexico- where we can project that Mrs.Mary Pepen will defeat Senator Wilson meaning the Democrats will pickup another seat tonight.

Currently we are projecting that the seats of Nevada and Montana are too early to call

Republicans: 51(-3)
Democrats: 38(+3)
Green: 1

For the Governors races, we can project that in Idaho - lieutenant governor Brad Little will be elected and in Ohio- State Attorney General Mike Dewine will be the next Governor of the State. Nevada currently is too close to call

Wolf Blitzer: Leds head over to the magic wall where John King will give us an update on the state of the races

John King: Lets start in Virginia where Manassas County looks to be going Senator McDonnell's way meaning this race is now likely to be won by him and in New Jersey the Republican candidate has now taken the lead and many Democrats will be very mad at the Green Party candidate because if not for him this race likely would be a Menendez win even taking into account the states Republican trend over the past 6 years, the Scandal and Kean being a strong candidate. Anyway this race likely wont be decided until the end of the night as its all about raw votes now.

In Wisconsin, its looks like the Democratic Candidate is winning the Swing South West Region of the State and if the Democrat hold on it will mean another pickup for the Democrats tonight. Missouri once again looks to be a repeat of New Jersey but in the opposite direction as the Libertarian Candidate likely will be the difference if Talant loses tonight but just like New Jersey this likely wont be decided till the end of the night .

Wolf Blitzer: With us tonight is former Speaker Newt Gingrich and Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid with their reactions

Gingrich: Well while this night hasnt been a good night for the Republicans they will control the trifecta come January so the fact is they will still have a mandate.

Reid: The idea that Republicans will have the same mandate that they have had over the past 6 years is just not true. Republicans will no longer have a filibuster-proof majoirty like the past 4 years or likely even a filibuster-proof majority if you just win the votes of the more Conservative Democrats. The fact is the American people dont want anymore of the Republican Right Wing Policies and the House Popular Vote which could go the Democrats ways show that.

Gingrich: You think the People want left-wing policies

Reid: No but they do want Liberal Policies to be discussed in Congress and not outright shunned and they in fact probably want centrist policies.

Wolf: Thanks for being here

10:42:

Wolf: CNN can now project that Senator McDonell will be reelected in Virginia and Congressman Ron Kind will be the next Senator of Wisconsin giving the Democrats another pickup tonight.

Republicans: 52(-4)
Democrats: 39(+4)
Green: 1

Wolf : Some more bad news for the Republicans is Chris McDaniel has made the runoff in the Mississippi special putting that seat in great risk of being lost to the Democrats.

Dana Bash: That is terrible news for the GOP as McDaniel has very low favorables  and will be facing pretty strong Democratic Candidate so the fact is another seat could be lost this November.

Interesting. What's the House looking like?

While the Republicans will retain control,  they will be down from 270 seats they had to anywhere from 228 to 240 and it is very possible that they lose the House popular vote.

CNN - America's Choice 2018 (Hour Five)

11:00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz9xY_CoC_M

Wolf Blitzer: Its 11:00 in the east and CNN will project that in California- Senator Diane Feinstein has been reelected, in Washington - Senator Maria Cantwell will be reelected and in Hawaii - Senator Marie Hirono will be reelected.

Republicans: 52(-4)
Democrats: 42(+4)
Green: 1

In the Gubernatorial Races, we can project in California - Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom will win meaning he will be the next governor of the largest in the union, in Oregon- Governor Allen Alley will be reelected , in Alaska- Independent Governor Bill Walker will be reelected  and in Hawaii- Governor David Ige will be reelected.

Wolf Blitzer: Lets go over to the magic wall to get some info about the remaining governor race

John King: Lets start with Illionis in which you can see that Governor Rauner is performing well in the Collar Counties and Downstate but the question is are the raw numbers their to makeup for the deficit in Cook County and we likely wont know that till the end of the night. In Connecticut both Fairfield and Middlesex have been won by the Republican but once again this is another race we wont be able to decide till the end of the night.  Nevada is similar.

In South Dakota Former Senate Majoirty Leader Tom Daschle is leading and the pathway to victory for the Republican keeps narrowing so this race will likely go to him now, and Iowa similarly central Iowa has gone to the Dems so this race will also likely go to them. Colorado, on the other hand, is favorable to the Republicans as Jefferson County has gone to the Republican

11:40 :

Wolf Blitzer: CNN can now project that Governor Steve Bullock will unseat the Republican and win the Montana Senate seat which gives the Democrats so far a net gain of 5 seats

Republicans: 52(-5)
Democrats: 43(+5)
Green: 1

In the Gubernatorial Races we can project that Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Dashale comeback to politics has been successful as he will win the Governor's race in South Dakota. Similarly in Iowa we can project Former Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge has defeated Governer Kim Reynolds in a upset victory . In Colorado we can project the Republican Congressman Cory Gardner has won meaning he will be the next govenor of the state.

CNN - America's Choice 2018 (Rest of Results )

1:15:
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz9xY_CoC_M

Wolf Blitzer: We can project that in Nevada - State Senator Aaron Ford has won meaning he will the be the next governor of the state

2:45:

Wolf Blitzer: CNN can now project in Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner has been reelected

3:00

Wolf Blitzer: We can project in the Nevada Senate Race- Congresswomen Catherine Cortez Masto has Defeated Senator Dean Heller to give the Democrats pickup number 6 of the night. The backlash to the vote for RTW may have made the final difference seemingly how close the race was.

Republicans: 52(-6)
Democrats: 44(+6)
Green: 1

4:11:

Chris Cuomo: CNN can now project that in the Missouri - Senate Rate Jim Talant has been defeat by McCaskill once again though this time due to the Libertarians. Good news for the Republicans is we can also project that State Senator Tom Kean Jr has defeat Bob Menedez 48.85%- 48.73% and in this case the Greens costing their Incumbent Senator. So that keeps the Democrats net gain at 6 tonight though it could become 7 if they defeat McDaniel a few weeks from now.

Republicans: 53(-6)
Democrats: 45(+6)
Green: 1

6:30

Chris Cuomo: We can offically say that the Connecitcut Governor race wont be decided until a recont is done. Right now the GOP leads but the margin is not enough to avoid a recount.

Romney Reacts to results of the Midterm Elections

Romney: Good Morning everyone , yesterday millions of Americans from all sorts of backgrounds voted in the election and as your President I applaud any American who takes part in our voting process to decide who they want to have lead their city and state and who to represent them in Washington and I look forward to working with the people you have sent to Washington over the next 2 years. For the newly elected Congressman, Senators and Governors I hope to see you at the White House soon so we can discuss so we can discuss the different issues facing our various states, and the nation as a whole. While I may not be as happy about the results as I was at the midterm elections 4 years ago it is my hope that each one of you is successful because if your successful our nation will be successful.

Media Member 1: Do you think last night was a rejection of your policies

Romney: Of course not as the Republicans still hold both the House and Senate.

Media Member 1 Follow Up: Your party did lose the house popular vote though so wouldnt you say that means the American people do not want to continue your policies without any possible brakes.

Romney: The fact is we won the most seats and our house elections are done district by district so our representatives can be better representative of the people instead of being selected by party bosses. On the other question while yes the American people did reduce the GOP majority we still have majorities so we should be able to pass a center-right agenda.

Media Member 2: Since the Mississippi runoff isnt till the end of November will you wait till the runoff is over to hold the meetings

Romney: Yes I will wait until the First week of December to inviting them so all new elected Congressman, Senators and Governors can come.

Media Member 3: Now that the Republicans no longer have a filibuster or even de facto filibuster proof majority will your agenda over the next 2 years change

Romney: Some things have changed of course but I cant tell you guys the exact changes to our agenda until I meet with my cabinet and advisors.
