We haven't had a president with facial hair since the early 1900s William Taft. Are we overdue for the next president to have facial hair such as a mustache, beard or long sideburns?

It might be a while. I don't know of any potential 2020 candidates who have facial hair.

Hopefully never.

Why did the 1800s have so many hairy presidents, BTW?

Look at almost any politician from the late 1800s - most had beards, some long beards. It was just the style at the time.

We could always elect Adam Kokesh.

That's quite strange. Haven't even thought about such a thing...

We could've had one back in late 2015 and early 2016 if Pres. Obama and Vice Pres. Biden disappeared

If I'm not mistaken, we haven't even had a major party nominee with facial hair since Thomas Dewey.

After spending almost a century out of style, beards and facial hair do seem to be making a comeback - especially among Millennial men.  Its not uncommon to see in professional settings these days, so I imagine we'll be ready for a bearded President by mid-century.
