Sunday, January 21 will be the day of the AFC and NFC Championship football matches. Competing for the AFC Championship are the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New England Patriots. The game begins at 3:05 PM (EST). Competing for the NFC Championship are the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles. The game begins at 6:40 PM (EST).

As of 8 PM (EST), according to the Washington Post, the New England Patriots have a 66% chance of defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars, with a Jaguars +9 pick. The Minnesota Vikings have a 54% chance of defeating the Philadelphia Eagles, with a Vikings -3 pick.

Personally, I've been a New England Patriots fan since they played against the Eagles in the Super Bowl here in Jacksonville about 14 years ago. So, obviously, I'm rooting for New England, but I'd be alright if Jacksonville manages to defeat them; it'd be nice to see my hometown team finally making it to the Super Bowl. Between the Vikings and the Eagles, I definitely want the Vikings to win. I want to see a Patriots - Vikings Super Bowl in Minneapolis so badly.

I think the NFL would love for the Vikings to win, because of the storylines that come with hosting a Super Bowl.

I agree however, that they probably would prefer the Patriots over the Jaguars.

I want the Patriots to win the AFC championship. I dislike the Jaguars enough that I'm willing to possibly see the cheating GOAT win another ring.

However, I keep flip flopping on whether I'm for the Vikings or Eagles. I've had a soft spot for the Eagles since a great guy I knew who was an Eagles fan passed in 2014. But I also dislike Philadelphia sports teams in general, so I think the edge goes to the Vikings at this point.

Basically I want the NFC to win the Super Bowl, no matter who it is.

Jaguars and Vikings.  The Eagles and Patriots are probably the two teams I hate most in the entire league.  If the Super Bowl ends up being a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX, then I will only be watching for the commercials.

I don't care much for the Jaguars or Vikings either, but I have family who are Vikings fans, so they're the least terrible option for me.  What better way to win your first Super Bowl than to do it on your own home field (and be the first team to accomplish that feat as well)?

Yeah historically I'd never root for Minnesota, but this year's team is just too darn likable.
