Yes.

This wouldn't even limit our touring options around the Midwest much anyway, it would just mean if we were to play in St. Cloud it'd have to be in one of the parts that's not in Stearns County (both of which voted for Hillary.)

... No?
If people like our music they should be able to come and hear us play regardless of their political views. I would of course call out racists and alt-right types though.

No. Because you disagree with a bunch of people doesn't mean you have to be a piece of crap to them.

My favorite venue which closed right before Thanksgiving (RIP, wearing the memorial shirt for it now), refused to book anyone who had expressed conservative views, and in 2017 hosted tables at shows selling merch for causes like fundraising for Planned Parenthood, and at one point was selling shirts that said "NAZI TRUMPS F[INKS] OFF!" on them, amongst other things. It was literally an all liberal all the time venue...and that didn't even hurt their business or attendance at shows at all, one because it's f[inks]ing Minneapolis and two because all people who listen to that type of music they mostly booked are liberal anyway.

Like those nut-jobs are anything worthy of discussion, going at 62 million Americans who voted as "Nazis" and barring them from entering is a pretty deplorable, disgusting thing to do. Imagine if a conservative country-music concert did this to liberals in 2012 or 2008!

This is so stupid because you're also condemning all of the people who didn't vote for Trump who just happen to live there.

When you reply with these anecdotes, you don’t make a point. “X is a bad thing to do.” “We did X.” You haven’t provided any moral reason for behavior or laid out a logical or coherent set of rules to live by. And when you do, they are always justified only by your own definitions (“all Liberal, all the time”), not in a language that communicates anything of value to those outside your “group” (if it could be so called).

I would only play in precincts that voted for Trump in counties that voted for Hillary, or vice-versa.

I think people listening to your sh**tty bands vote Democratic anyway. So you actually should play in Trump cities more often to show solidarity with your fellow Democrats in majority conservative cities Smiley

Obviously the question, as is, doesn't apply to me, but I'd be perfectly willing to play in cities/areas that voted for Clinton. There's more to life than politics.

If I ran a band I'd gladly take concert-goers' money regardless of their political ideology.

Ironically this band is from a part of Long Island that voted for Trump, seeing as how they made a video that's literally about assaulting and torturing Trump supporters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy-SiZSlmhI

That video has one of the largest dislike-to-like ratios I've ever seen.

A bunch of alt-right sites linked to it to get all their readers to vote dislike.

I'm not a fan of BRTD but this is an absurd and ignorant thing to say. You would prefer a man who committed genocide over some dudebro who makes crappy posts on an internet forum?

I voted No; even in a city that Trump narrowly carried, it is likely that the 18-29 vote (especially among women) went heavily for Hillary-- and in any case regardless of the percentage it would seem unfair to deny them that musical experience.

I wonder if those who voted Yes would play in greater Birmingham, AL (Jefferson + Shelby Counties), which Trump narrowly carried in 2016, but which voted strongly for Doug Jones just one year later?
