Alright now I'm going to actually try and make a series of elections for MAINEiac's American TL that are similar to what happened in his TL.  (I hope)

Part 1:  1992-2000

1992 General Election

Labor Party:  Center to Center-Left, Leader:  William Jefferson Clinton (Little Rock), 284 Seats
Republican Party:  Center to Center-Right, Leader:  George Herbert Walker Bush (Houston-Meadows Place), 164 Seats
Reform:  Center-Populism, Leader:  Henry Ross Perot (Texarkana), 90 Seats

1996 General Election

Labor Party:  Center to Center-Left, Leader:  William Jefferson Clinton (Little Rock), 221 Seats  (Minority Government)
Democratic Party:  Right-Wing, Southern Regionalism, Leader:  Newt Gingrich (Atlanta-Roswell), 148 Seats
Conservative Party:  Center-Right, Leader:  Bob Dole (Hays), 94 Seats
Progressive Republican Party:  Centrist, Leader:  Jim Jeffords (Burlington), 38 Seats
Reform:  Center-Populism, Leader:  Henry Ross Perot (Texarkana), 37 Seats

2000 General Election

Labor Party:  Center-Left, Leader:  Al Gore (Carthage), 230/231* Seats
Conservative Party:  Center-Right, Leader:  George Walker Bush (Fort Worth), 191/192* Seats (Coalition with Democratic Party)
Democratic Party:  Right-Wing, Southern Regionalism, Leader:  Newt Gingrich (Atlanta-Roswell), 78 Seats (Coalition with Conservative Party)
Progressive Republican Party:  Centrist, Leader:  Jim Jeffords (Burlington), 37 Seats
Green Party:  Left-Wing, Environmentalism, Leader:  Ralph Nader (Hartford), 1 Seat
Reform Party:  Evangelical Conservatism, Leader:  Pat Buchanan (Ran in NOVA-Winchester, Lost) 0 Seats

*A Recount occurred in the Constituency of Palm Beach-Kings Point, a key marginal between the Conservatives and Labor.  There were a number of ballots counted as votes for the Reform Party's Candidate that were supposedly meant to go to the Labor Candidate, Elaine Bloom, which lead to Conservative E. Clay Shaw Jr. winning the initial count.  After a number of recounts, the final results certified by Florida's Secretary of State, Conservative Katherine Harris, had Shaw up by exactly 1 vote.  Days later, after numerous appeals by the Labor Party, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the results certified for Palm Beach-Kings Point were final, and that the Election was over.  With that done and a Government out of reach, the Labor Party officially conceded the Election and gave George Bush's Conservatives the chance to form a Government, which they did with the Democratic Party.

2018 House elections:

Democrats: 226 seats (+31) (Leader: Nancy Pelosi)
Republicans: 209 seats (-31) (Leader: Kevin McCarthy)

Democrats win a narrow majority in the 2018 House elections while Republicans hold the Senate via Pence's tiebreaker.

2020 House elections:

Democrats: 246 seats (+20) (Leader: Nancy Pelosi)
Republicans: 188 seats (-21) (Leader: Kevin McCarthy)
Independents: 1 seat (+1)

Along with Mark Zuckerberg's decisive victory over Trump, Democrats expanded their house majority and retake the Senate 55-45. An independent candidate defeats Steve King in a huge upset after a long recount battle.

However, this majority was not to last long...

2022 House elections:

Republicans: 213 seats (Coalition with Moderates) (+41) (Leader: Paul Nehlen)
Moderates: 21 seats (Coalition with Republicans) (+3) (Leader: Taking suggestions)
Democrats: 176 seats (-51) (Leader: Nancy Pelosi)
Progressives: 18 seats (+1) (Leader: Keith Ellison)
Independents: 7 seats (+6)

Mark Zuckerberg's technocratic policies turned out to be terribly unpopular, causing Progressives to split from the Democrats, and a revitalized Alt-right seized control of the Republican party, causing moderate Republicans to split from their party as well. The result was no absolute majority for either party, and talks of a Progressive-Democrat-Moderate-Independent coalition broke down rather quickly when Democratic leadership was unable to balance Moderate and Progressive demands. In the end, Republicans slightly watered down their demands which allowed the Moderate Party to reluctantly enter a coalition with them, forming a Republican-Moderate majority.

The Dems are very similar to now. Labor is a center-left to left-wing party that is socially progressive and focused on workers' rights and unionism and is very popular in upstate New York, Michigan, Wisconsin, and other industrialized union areas. Solutions for Us! Is the most centrist of the left-wing bloc, and is strongest in liberal suburbs and cities, like the areas outside Chicago, liberal parts of OC, as well as certain rural areas as well.

Republicans are the same while the Conservatives represent a nascent, rapidly growing Trumpist and socially right wing isolationist movement.

Movement for the People is a center to center-right quasi populist movement that was solidified into a party but lost steam very quickly and only has two members.

Indy Moderates are a**holes like Dan Lipinski.

Scenario: U.S. collapses and NYC and surrounding NJ counties form a government and militarize their borders.

Paterson Faction - 12 seats (Joseph Gamal - Downtown Paterson)

Montclair Faction - 9 Seats (Maria Stoyer - Upper Montclair)

Essex Front - 19 Seats (Jamescita Garland - Ironbound)

Hudson Faction - 27 Seats (Harry Carter - Hell's Kitchen)

Brooklyn Faction - 22 Seats (Carlos Cruz - Bushwick)

Bronx Union - 11 Seats (Elena Solis - Mott Haven)

The Montclair and Paterson factions are two groups under a loosely united Jersey Party, but they are so divergent in policy goals that they are effectively two different parties. The Montclair faction is a mostly white group with suburban characteristics and its members support centrism and expansion of borders into northwestern jersey in order to secure Montclair. The Paterson faction is an ethnically diverse urban party which also supports expansion but has radically different policy goals.

Same for Hudson and Brooklyn factions. Hudson faction supports expansionism and increased militarization of the border, but even the faction is split on where to expand: some want expansion into south Jersey, some want expansion into Long Island, some want expansion into Connecticut, and a minority want expansion into Westchester. The Brooklyn faction wants no expansion at all and instead supports domestic infrastructure development and the signing of treaties with somewhat hostile neighbors in south Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The Bronx Union is a party which supports expansion into Westchester in order to secure their own borders but does not support either NYC faction. It is aligned with the similarly independent Essex faction. The Essex Faction, despite being centered in Newark and Jersey City, is not aligned with the Jersey Party.
