Debate Response

Quote

That's not true Mr Carolla. As the person who was personally running the case, I know for a fact that the Fort Dix case used the Patriot Acts amendment to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, to get a wiretap on the suspect. But lets look at what the FBI Director, Robert Mueller, himself said

'' the PATRIOT Act has proved extraordinarily beneficial in the war on terrorism and has changed the way the FBI does business. Many of our counterterrorism successes, in fact, are the direct results of provisions included in the Act.''

You know I think we should trust the opinion of dedicated, career National Security officials on this one.

Carolla’s response:The 4th amendment! people The 4th amendment! That’s what is unconstitutional about it!!

It also has been reported to be caught spying on regular ordinary Amercians.  Would you still support the Patriot Act if you found out that a lot of your stuff you do I privacy they watch and record?

I don’t think that that’s the Founding Fathers when they founded this country had in mind.

Turn Five: Stop, Caucus Time:
December 26th, 2011 to January 3rd, 2012

In the News!

Iowa Caucuses approach
Clinton, Christie face key challenge in the first contest

Trump, Jindal drop out of GOP race
Two key candidates leaving the contest, Jones and Fletcher surging as alternatives?

1.- Turn: This is our fist "weekly" turn, covering the final days before the Iowa Caucuses. After months of laying the ground for your respective campaigns, actual voting will begin soon and momentum swings will certainly depend on your performances. As to the turn itself you're free on how you want to fight the caucus or whether to seriously contest it or not. The average of polls does have a margin or error than can go from -2 to +2% and there's still a decent number of undecideds, so a well executed strategy can pay off handsomely. There won't be a debate this turn, but there will be one before New Hampshire, before South Carolina and before Florida.

GE Polling

RCP Average:
2012 Presidential Election:

Generic Democrat: 43%

Primary Polling

RCP: Republican Primary:

Chris Christie: 31%
Walter Jones: 18%
Ernie Fletcher: 17%
Ron Paul: 17%
Adam Carolla: 12%
Fred Upton: 1%
Undecided: 4%

Republicans: New challengers arise?

The continued changes in the make-up of the GOP field were only making the momentum swings wilder and wilder, and with the departure of Donald Trump and particularly Bobby Jindal there were many GOP voters left for grabs for the candidates to pick. Helped by strong debate performances and a reliable campaign machine, Governor Chris Christie increased his lead by cracking 30%, suddenly released from the threat of a very credible challenger in Jindal. All in all Govenor Christie has been more or less successful in garnering support from different wings of the GOP, even with several Tea Party voters have slowly moved into other camps. Still, despide this lead Christie remains vulnerable in Iowa and far behind in South Carolina, leading some to wonder if an even more conservative challenge could defeat the frontrunner...

Enter Walter Jones and Adam Fletcher. Both candidates, previously unlikely longshots, have showed skill in appealing to particular areas of the GOP electorate to bolster their chances, with social conservatives beginning to turn out for Governor Fletcher as their man - evidenced by his strong numbers in Iowa and South Carolina - and the Tea Party has begun to embrace Congressman Jones following a fiery debate victory and the endorsement of Sarah Palin. Both are beginning to look like the more credible challengers against Christie, although much will depend on their ability to do well in the early states. Ron Paul is also maintaining himself strong and relevant, leading Nevada and being within shot of defeating Christie in Iowa but undercut by the limited amount of his potential supporters so far. Behind the main challengers is Adam Carolla, who nonetheless has a sizable following after the Donald Trump endorsement and ma yet play a key role if he plays his cards right. Congressman Upton, finally, appears to rely on a strong performance in New Hampshire to catapult himself into a surge.

RCP: Democratic Primary:

Hillary Clinton: 53%
Joe Biden: 28%
Russ Feingold: 14%
Undecided: 5%

Democrats: Clinton bests Biden on first round

Upon the departure of Governor Bredesen and the entry of Vice-President Biden into the Democratic race, many wondered what would happen with so few time before the Iowa caucuses. Vice-President Biden entered strong and without much of the baggage that dragged President Obama down, and after launching his first blows against Senator Clinton - angering many of her loyalists by denouncing a "Clinton dynasty" -, the Clinton machine went in full force against the Vice-President. Effective ads dealt significant damage to his standing and a resounding debate win for Hillary allowed the Senator to expand her national lead and significantly limit Biden's gains, who barely won more voters (most of those gains from the Bredesen supporters) than he lost.

The other side of the coin, of course, is represented both by Senator Feingold and by the Iowa question. Feingold himself as seen as solid in the debate and has made progress in building a "progressive coalition", allowing himself a polling increase which could concievably turn him into a kingmaker if a Clinton-Biden race becomes more competitive or in a challenger if Biden flounders. And while Vice-President Biden may have taken some losses, a decision to focus only in Iowa has put him in dead heat with Senator Clinton, Iowa still being a weak spot for her. With Feingold also strong it is impossible who tell who will win the Iowa caucus, but it may just be the change for any of the three candidates to achieve a dramatic victory.

Debate Winners:

GOP:

With a rapidly shrinking field the latest GOP debate had six candidates on stage as well, and quite a spirited night they had. The debate was in many ways dominated by a tough exchange between Carolla and Christie on the issue of terrorism, and one that was widely seen as a significant victory for Christie (despite coming out wounded) because of the public's much more enthusastic response to his stances than that of Carolla, very popular among libertarians but not so much amongst the wider electorate. With Ernie Fletcher's solid responses (but without a breakthrough moment) landing him 3rd place and Christie's wounds from his round with Carolla leaving him in second despite very well recieved responses on corruption and Bush, it was Congressman Walter Jones who won the debate, particulary because of responses regarding the Tea Party that increased his exposure to a national audience. Congressman Upton was noted as being on much better form than past ocassions, but still far away from Republican orthodoxy on most issues.

DEM:

The stakes were high, and a large amount of Americans tuned in to the first debate between Senator Clinton and Vice-President Biden, with Senator Feingold returning to the debate stage as well. For most pundits the veredict was clear in that Senator Hillary Clinton had achieved a noteworthy victory against her newest challenger, even though she'd looked vulnerable at times (particularly as some former Obama supporters did boo her on one of her responses). It was believed Vice-President Biden gave a poor performance, particularly so on the North Korean issue, where Clinton managed to "twist the knife" and deliver a tough blow to the Vice-President. Biden wasn't helped as well by Clinton's response to the scandals Biden brought out, cementing his defeat. Senator Feingold avoided such controversy, thus achieving a strong second place that regained momentum for his bid.

What Carolla did
After the holidays Carolla would go back on the Campaign stage in all 5 major states.
He would campaign with Donald Trump in Iowa and Mick Mulvaney in South Carolina as 2011 came to the end
Trump’s rallies would be notables for the nicknames he would give to the candidates like Crooked Hillary,Creepy Joe Biden, No Name Russ Fiendgold and Washed Up Wesley Clark.

The people in the crowd enjoyed Trump’s nickname for his opponents. Helping Carolla’s statement in the state.

Adam Carolla campaign ad that airs in all 50 states
I’m Adam Carolla and I approve this message.
What do Chris Christie and the Democrats have in common?

They are both gun grabbers and want to take away your 2nd amendment rights.

As Govenor Christie sign laws that banned concealed carry laws and has tried to bring in a assault weapon ban similar to the one of 1994.

And throughout his political career Christie has avocated for less rights for people to carry firearms and trying to declare fees on guns throughout the state.

So much for conservative values Govenor.

However Adam Carolla will fight for right to bear arms.

He will veto any law that promotes any sort of gun control and will fight for you second amendment rights.

Carolla believes that the 2nd amendment is a very important part of the US constitution and will make you still have your right for sport and self defense

Choose a different kind of Republican. Choose Adam Carolla

Schedule for Joe Biden-Winning Iowa

December 26, 2011

Spend the morning in Delaware with family.

Speech in Muscatine, Iowa

Senator Clinton has serious ethical issues that we must address before she skates to victory. Remember Whitewater, when the billing records from the Rose Law Firm materialized in the White House's private residence, with Hillary's fingerprints on it? That's at a disqualification to be our nominee for President, let alone to President!

Meet Voters in Blue Grass, Iowa

December, 27, 2011

Meet Voters in Princeton, Iowa

Speech in Bettendorf, Iowa

Governor Christie is fast becoming the de facto and de jure establishment candidate on the Republican side. However, unlike in our party, where any one of our three candidates could be considered an establishment candidate, everyone but Christie, and maybe Governor Fletcher may be an establishment backed candidate. Us Democrats should be able to beat any one of them.

Meet Voters in Le Claire, Iowa

Meet Voters in Durant, Iowa

December 28, 2011

Speech at Modern Woodmen Park, Davenport, Iowa (With Beau Biden)

Many of our allies in NATO are simply not paying a fair share, requiring wealthier and more militarily advanced countries, such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and ourselves to pay far more than required to defend everyone else against threats like Russia and terrorism. As President, I will ensure all NATO countries pay a specified percentage of their GDP towards their NATO expenses.

Meet Voters in Roland, Iowa

Attend Kansas at Iowa State Men's College Basketball game, Hilton Coliseum, Ames, Iowa

December 29, 2011

Meet Voters in Huxley, Iowa

Meet Voters in Cambridge, Iowa

Meet Voters in Story City, Iowa

December 30, 2011

Meet Voters in Swisher, Iowa

Meet Voters in Shueyville, Iowa

Speech in Coralville, Iowa

You know, they say ethanol is a cleaner source of fuel than straight gasoline. So, as we campaign in the state that produces the most ethanol, I say that we need to produce more of it!

December 31, 2011

Attend Wisconsin at Iowa Men's College Basketball game, Carver-Hawkeye Arena, Iowa City, Iowa

Attend New Year's Eve Celebration's on the Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, Nevada.

January 1, 2012

Rest with family, Washington D.C

January 2, 2012

Meet Voters in Bourdant, Iowa

Meet Voters in Polk City, Iowa

Meet Voters in De Soto, Iowa

Meet Voters in Grimes, Iowa

January 3, 2012

Hillary Clinton Campaign Schedule
December 26, 2011 to January 3, 2012

December 26: Senator Clinton remains near her Chappaqua, New York the day after Christmas, sitting down for various national media interviews.

December 27: Senator Clinton flies to Manchester, New Hampshire. In Manchester, she meets with AARP members at a morning breakfast. She tours Memorial High School in the afternoon before a large rally at the Verizon Wireless Arena in the evening. Senator Clinton is joined at the rally by Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Governor Andrew Cuomo, and Mayor Tom Manino. At the rally, Senator Clinton declares "We have a movement building here folks. It began in New Hampshire, it spread to Florida, and Nevada, and all over the country. Now we're going to Iowa. But I'll be back!" After the rally, Senator Clinton flies to Iowa.

December 28: Landing in Cedar Rapids, Senator Clinton holds a press conference on the tarmac with Senator Tom Harkin to accept Senator Harkin's endorsement. In his remarks, Senator Harkin says that there is a "Clinton wave" building in Iowa that's going to "put her over the top" in the Caucus. Senator Clinton points out that it was Iowa that ended Joe Biden's 2008 campaign.

Senator Clinton and Senator Harkin tour Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids and then hold a town hall meeting with college students at the College's Hennessey Recreation Center. The pair of Senators then drive to Iowa City and hold a rally at the famous Hancher Auditorium.

December 29: Senator Clinton begins her day in Iowa City. She and Senator Harkin are joined by Congressman Dave Loebsack, who also gives Senator Clinton his endorsement. The trio visit Hamburg Inn No. 2 and have lunch there before traveling to Davenport, where they visit the Putnam Museum. Senator Clinton then gives a special interview with NBC News.

December 30: Senator Clinton drives overnight to Council Bluffs. In the morning, she and former President Clinton meet with voters at Duncan's Cafe, then they meet with school children and their parents at Abraham Lincoln High School. Senator Clinton gives a speech on support for rural communities in nearby Neola at the Historic Phoenix Theatre.

December 31: Senator Clinton briefly crosses over into Blair, Nebraska after three days in Iowa. She meets with local Democratic Party volunteers to discuss the importance of getting out the vote "in every state", not just the early states. In the afternoon, she returns to Iowa to hold a town hall meeting in Randolph at the American Legion Post. That evening, joined by Senator Harkin, she holds a rally at Sidney High School in Sidney.

January 1: The New Year begins with a national conference call with state leadership to discuss "moving the campaign into the year of the election." The Clinton Campaign announces that Amanda Renteria, Chief of Staff to Senator Debbie Stabenow, will begin serving as State Operations Coordinator, to work as the main liaison between the national campaign and the state GOTV efforts.

Senator Clinton and Senator Stabenow meet with voters at Dordt College in the afternoon. In the evening, Senator Clinton, former President Clinton, Senator Harkin, Congressman Loebsack, and Senator Stabenow hold a fundraiser in Sioux Center.

January 2: Joined by Congressman Loebsack, Senator Clinton visits Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa to promote her education plan. She emphasis her plan to "reign in predatory loan companies" to make higher education accessible. When a student asks her about free community college for every citizen, Senator Clinton doesn't completely write the idea off, saying "It's worth looking into. We've got to find a way to pay for it, first." Senator Clinton visits Twin Galaxies before leaving Ottumwa, to discuss the importance of emerging technology in the "rebuilding of the American economy."

In the evening, Senator Clinton sits down with the Des Moines Register Editorial Board for a free-ranging, on-the-record discussion to run in a special section before the caucus. In the interview, she reiterates her belief that "Vice President Biden is spouting far-right conspiracy theories in an effort to pick up a handful of votes from people who just simply hate me." She also calls the situation in Libya "concerning" and calls on a strong, international response to the crisis "that brings stability to the lives of the Libyan people."

January 3: Senator Clinton begins Caucus Day in Polk City, Iowa. She meets with voters at an assisted living community, and makes a plan for campaign volunteers to get the seniors out caucus sites in the evening. During the drive to Ames, Senator Clinton makes GOTV calls from the back of her car. Once in Ames, Senator Clinton meets with College Democrats at the University of Iowa and makes sure they have a GOTV plan, setting up rides from campaign staff for students without cars. She also holds a town hall at the Ames Public Library with Senator Harkin.

As the sun begins to set, Senator Clinton and Senator Harkin fly to Waterloo, Iowa for their final round of campaigning. They hold a large GOTV rally at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, where they're joined by Congressman Loebsack and Senator Stabenow. As caucusing begins, the Clinton Campaign moves to the Isle Casino Hotel in Waterloo to watch results come in.

Once the results of the caucus is clear, Senator Clinton, Senator Harkin, Congressman Loebsack, and Senator Stabenow drive to the Brown Derby Ballroom in Waterloo to meet with supporters.

Christie blasts Carolla at Town Hall: 'I support the 2nd Amendment', blasts Carolla as a 'hypocrite'', who supports a position to the left of Hillary Clinton'

'Look, I would say that Mr Carolla should take that lying, hypocritical ad down, but I know that Adam doesn't need any help in getting his stuff taken off TV (crowd laughs).

It's a complete baloney ad. Look I've been clear in this whole campaign; my number 1 priority is to keep Americans safe. When I was a U.S prosecutor I had case after case on my desk where violent gangs, where cartels and were criminals had illegally used firearms to murder citizens, and law enforcement officers. We've seen it on our Southern Border after the Fast, and Furious case. It's sickening.

That's what my approach is based around. I'm a supporter of the second amendment. We allow conceal carried in New Jersey, I commuted the sentence Brian Aitken, who had convicted for bringing legally bought guns in the state and I've said to the legislature that I will veto attempts to create a gun registry in the state.

You know what makes people sick of politics is when you get these hypocritical attack ads. Now Mr Carolla will claim he's not a politician but god, he's starting to sound like someone who's been in Washington D.C his whole life (laughs).

Let's look at what he said last year in an interview, and I quote... ''I'm against semi-automatic and automatic weapons. I'm not an NRA guy by any stretch of the imagination.'' And he has the balls to question my commitment to the 2nd amendment? He's taken a position that is to the left of Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden. He's a hypocrite, it's simple as that.

Carolla responds to Chris Christie in a a rally in Reno Nevada

Mr Christie in his response basically confirmed that yes he is still for some sort of gun control *Crowd boos*
And you do know what a semi auto gun is right? The AR-15 is not some automatic rifle that is used in the milltary. It’s just another hunting and sport rifle right? I have seen and used it for target shooting.

I’m not saying oh we should legalize flamethrowers or Heavy machine guns I don’t think those are civilians friends.
What I am saying is I want to protect the rights for people to buy and own weapons that are legal that the Democrats want to restrict and ban.

*Crowd claps*

Wesley for America: Iowa Caucus Schedule

”...Hello, Ames!!! You know what!? The candidates from both parties are coming to Iowa, making false promises, making false claims, lying, all to win your vote. Hell if I was an Iowa resident I couldn’t stand it. I’m going to tell you a secret- the political system is rigged against the common man. I hope that in November, we can change the course of the United States, for the better. Our campaign is really a revolution...”

Hillary Clinton Ad #6
Why Are You Running?, Airing Nationwide

Hillary Clinton Ad #8
Iowa's Choice, Airing in Iowa

- Scene opens with clips of Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and Senator Tom Harkin -

HARKIN: I've worked with the Clintons over the course of my career. They're good people. They're caring people. They're regular folks from hardworking families, just like you and me, and they understand rural communities like Iowa. Hillary Clinton's got a strong head on her shoulders and she'll make the tough decisions in the White House. That's why Hillary Clinton is my choice.

- Scene shifts to clips of Hillary Clinton and Dave Loebseck -

LOEBSACK: The Clintons have always been friends to agricultural communities like ours, here in Iowa. They've stood by America's farmers since Bill was Governor of Arkansas. Now, Hillary has a strong plan to support agriclutural communities across the country, by supporting farm-to-table local sourcing, fighting GMOs and Big Agriculture, and inceasing access to high-speed broadband access. That's why Hillary Clinton is my choice.

- Scene shifts to the Des Moines Register logo -

NARRATOR: The Des Moines Register called Hillary Clinton "extremely steady", "well prepared for the duties of the job", and "uniquely qualified to hit the ground running." They applauded her "tough stances on crime, terrorism, and the economy." They called her "the best choice for Iowa."

- Scene shifts to Hillary Clinton campaigning across Iowa -

NARRATOR: Hillary Clinton -  the choice of Senator Tom Harkin, Congressman Dave Loebsack, the Des Moines Register, and many Iowans across the state. Make her your choice on Caucus Day.

- Scene cuts to Hillary For America logo and legal information -

HILLARY (VOICE OVER): I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.

Carolla campaigns in Des Monies Iowa on putting Amercia first

What happen to putting Amercia First? It seems like for the almost two decade we have put other countries first rather than ours. Our government when it puts stuff in like NAFTA or any of these so called “Free trade” agreements in action turn out to help out other countries like China and Mexico. And whille corporations get ahead hard working Amercians fall back and get poorer.

As President we will put Amercia first and put in not a “New World Order” That plays world police but a “New Amercian Order” that plays let’s put Amercia First and no one else in that same position.

*Crowd cheers and shout Carolla*

Feingold would spend time campaigning in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada as he endeavours to build a strong foundation for his future campaign. He also made several visits to the industrial States, looking to build support from blue-collar workers and union members. He also held rallies in Vermont and Ohio with Bernie Sanders and Sherrod Brown respectively. The three would hit speaking points related to trade, unions and the minimum wage, which Feingold says must be raised to $15 an hour.

(Sorry for the brief schedule. My personal tragedy has exacerbated itself.)

Adam Carolla on Charlie Rose

CR:Mr Carolla. Thank you joining us. Recently the Republican establishment has attacked us calling you a C list actor who doesn’t know what he is doing how do you respond?

AC:Well I rather be a has been actor than someone who is corrupt like the DC Swamp *he laughs* truth be told their  words don’t hurt. I’ve been called worse than a C or D list actor. You are called worse when you are not someone who supports Obama or wants Hillary Clinton or Biden to be elected this upcoming election. And people think all of Hollywood is like that and no it is not. There are outsiders who don’t obey the whole liberal stereotype of the city. We are kinda like rebels you know *He laughs again*

So no it’s gonna take more than insults like that to take me down.

CR:You have criticized President Obama’s but you said Hillary Clinton was worse please explain?

Well President Obama is weak and too easy to go against. Hillary Clinton there is so many levels of corruption and she will not stop till she becomes president. We can talk about the things she calls “conspiracy theories” however the list is too long and it would take days for them to name it all.

CR:What does your slogan a Different Kind Of Republican mean?

Well its because my candidacy is not a typical Republican campaign like Chrstie’s it’s something different. As a matter of that it’s difficult from a Bush or a McCain or anyone else.  I like to study how Ronald Reagan was able in 1980 to run and win with that such a different campaign than say Bush Nixon or Ford.

I’m not saying I’m the Ronald Reagan of 2012 granted there are similar things. Like his slogans from both the 1980 and 1984 campaign are both alike. We have both have slogans that strive a better Amercia in the current climate of the country. I think we are reliving the election of 1980 all over again and if history does repeat we are going to see something big.
