Well, in that case we have just wasted a collective hour and a half of our lives.  Smiley

God bless the Internet.

It's never a waste of time to debate one of the more pressing issues of the day.....Tongue

In any case, I think what may have started the whole thing is that I went on to say, in my original post, that I would probably not vote for a transsexual.

And thanks to this topic I've lost my appetite for dinner, too.  Oh well.

First good laugh in a week.

Seriously, have the two of you ever seen an actual transsexual (note the two s's).

Actually, yes.  My grandfather was a judge, and there was a man who was continually being arrested for petty crimes.  My grandfather formed a friendship of sorts with him, and he kept telling my grandfather he wanted to be a woman.

Later, he did get the big chop, but he remained a nutcase.  He continued to get arrested as a woman, and the whole thing was really a very sad case.  Somehow, by sheer coincidence, he kept turning up among people I knew.  Whatever his problem was, it doesn't appear that the sex change operation really solved it, though I can't see he wasn't happier as a woman.  In any case, I only knew him superficially.

The one I knew, to say the least, wasn't a social delinquent. Nor did he ever state that he wanted to be a female.

In fact, mid-change (it takes some three years to convert, apparently, so it's not just a simple penile excision), I noticed that 'he' kept getting frailer and had progressively longer hair.

It wasn't until one particular day that I saw breasts on him. A damned good shock that was, because, until then, I thought he had cancer and was getting some sort of chemotherapy. The long hair was just a "cover-up." Naive me.

dazzleman's origins are probably superior to mine.  And in any case, I do not trumpet my own 'success' as he does.

Yeah, I'd vote for a transsexual. Like Storebought, I have actually come face to face and had a *gasp* conversation with one. I almost died.

I've learned it's more important as to how someone will perform their job, not what's in their pants.

A18 probably won't ever learn that, but he'll die alone anyway.

I only mention that he was a judge because it was part of the story.  In any case, he was a municipal judge, and that pays squat.  The idea that judges are all rich is a major myth.  It's not as if he was on the Supreme Court or something.

And whatever you say about my "class origins," I don't have a trust fund, something that you continuously trumpet.

You don't have any success to trumpet, opebo. You're just a parasite who lives off the accomplishments of others, not someone who actually accomplishes something on his own.

I'm not going to vote for a child molester, transsexual, transvestite, or similar human trash just because he might 'perform the job' better than one of his opponents.

I would, however, vote for human trash over some joke with a sub-zero IQ like yourself.

He insults everyone.

Government lacks decent, non-corrupt politicians across the board, so if one actually happened to come along, regardless of party or gender, I'd vote for them over some partisan hack who'd been in office for 30  years.

I don't care of someone is heterosexual, homosexual, transsexual, try-sexual (they'll try anything with anyone)...

If their platform comes closest to what I believe, they'll get my vote.

IMHO of course   :-)

Uh, no. I insult arrogant morons like yourself. You initiated hostilities; I'm just pointing out some obvious facts about your "intelligence."

Anyway, you're not defending your "point" that it just matters how someone will perform the job, so I guess that backs up my insult.

I should have made it clearer then, because it's certainly still possible for one to be corrupt and perform the job well, in the public's eye.

Add in ethically and reasonably close to my own beliefs, and everything from my previous post still stands.
