*Could House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) win a Republican presidential nomination? He is left-leaning on amnesty, something that the conservative base does not like.

*If Ryan wins the GOP nomination, could Ryan ever win the U.S. presidency?

Could he? In 2020, 2024, 2028, 2032, beyond?

Ryan, 47, will turn 48 next year. Since he became a political star in the early 2000s, he has been seen as the future of the Republican Party. That is why Mitt Romney picked Ryan as his vice presidential running mate in 2012.

Could Ryan win the presidency, or is his career over with his economic views?

Before he became Speaker, yes. Not anymore.

Why?
