The GOP majority on the FCC has voted to assault American values by voting to repeal net neutrality . Shame on you, anti-American traitors Pai, Carr, and O'Rielly for voting YES!! Kudos to patriots Clyburn and Rosenworcel for voting NO.

4 Democrats voted to approve Pai only like 3 months ago. His nomination would of failed without them

Shame on Ajit Pai. Shame on the GOP.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but:

No it wouldn't have, lol. They would've just wheeled in those geezers McCain and Cochran and he would've passed anyway. Maybe you should've supported Crooked Hillary and this never would've happened.

The wealthy are the enemy of all collective good.

This never had a chance of failing because all the Republican FCC appointees only care about what Comcast and co. wants, and Comcast doesn't give a s**t how angry you are because they know you don't have a choice but to pay whatever they tell you to pay.

Not surprised, but pissed. Hope the lawsuits stop this trash. But people have no idea what this means, I keep seeing from conservatives "Well Obama was for net neutrality so it must be bad, so I'm glad it's going away'.

I wonder if Atlas will survive in the long term without net neutrality?

I'm going to miss our American contributors when their ISPs make them pay $50 extra a month to access Atlas.

Because McCain, Cochran, Toomey, and Heller didn't vote. If they really needed them, they would have brought them in (I dunno why Toomey was out, but McCain and Cochran were for health and probably could have come in an emergency, and Heller was in Nevada in the wake of the Vegas shooting.)

I'm going to miss you too when, by the end of 2019, the Tory government decides to do the same after Brexit.

This is why Democrats should run a campaign supporting not just net neutrality, but transforming the internet into a public utility and placed under the ownership of the American people. Public money has already been heavily invested in developing the infrastructure that supports internet usage across this country, yet we’re also being charged by private companies to use what the public has largely developed just so mega corporations like Comcast can make enormous profits, which they then use to buy politicians’ votes to allow them to make even greater profits at our expense.

Net neutrality is clearly not enough. We must nationalize the internet.
