These numbers are pretty similar to where Ehrlich was in 2006.

My takes:
  • Hogan's approval appears to be in decline; I remember a poll earlier this year having him at 61% approval
  • Hogan still isn't breaking 50%, while his approval is pretty decent
  • I think Hogan would've done worse in this poll if they had named Rushern Baker or Kevin Kamenetz rather than simply "Democratic Candidate"

LOL, just kills you that you guys elected a GOP governor doesn't it. Tongue

Seriously, though, Maryland does not have the tradition of Republican governors that New England does; I will be VERY careful before feeling like Hogan wins until we get much closer to November 2018.  However, I think Democrats who think he will be landslided just because of Trump and MD being a Democratic state are somewhat wishful thinkers.
