I got 140...but I've done it before, so the 135 I got the first time is probably more accurate, I'm afraid. Not sure whether that test is fully reliable though, even though it seems to be EVERYWHERE! Wink

heeheehee, WE got 140 is more accurate gus, we pooled together to get all questions right on that test a while ago.

I also got 135 individually.

I love patterns Smiley

Anyway, I've taken about 3 tests online... on one I got a 115, on another I got a 140+, and on another I got a 180 (but that test looked suspiciously familiar).

I have taken a real one, but it was after 4th grade and my parents have never told me what I got Sad

They didn't want to break the bad news to you, lol. Wink

My results have been: 110, 120, 137, 143...so they're not all that reliable me thinks. Smiley

Indeed.  The 115 I got was for this Fox TV show... for age they had an option of 20 or lower, and I know that IQ tests weight for age, so that was crazy...

However, Leos were the smartest astrological sign!  Woohoo!

Where is DC?  I can only assume they are 51st in the IQ column and you know how they vote.

It's really not possible to correlate AVERAGE IQ with the person who carried a state.

First of all, many of those with the lowest IQ's don't vote.  And of those who do vote, the distribution of votes among different IQ groups is not necessarily even.

Take Mississippi as an extreme example.  I find it hard to believe that the average IQ there is actually 85, but I'll accept it for the sake of argument, even though it basically means that half the population there is retarded.

Mississippi has a low voter participation rate, and the likelihood is that non-voters are found disproportionately in the lower IQ group.  Mississippi is also racially polarized, with a high percentage of the population black, voting Democratic, and the overwhelming majority of whites voting Republican.  Since we don't know the IQ distribution on a racial basis, it's hard to make a firm conclusion, but it is possible that the more intelligent voters in the state trend Republican.

New York is another example.  There are many low IQ people in New York (believe me, I know this) as well as many intelligent people in New York.  Given that even in New York, a large minority of voters went for Bush, and given that many in the heavily Democratic city of New York could be classified as low IQ, there is no way to really know the vote distribution by IQ.

I therefore don't think that the obvious inference being made by this information is necessarily valid.

I got 133. But English is not my native language and I think that it could be a little better in Finnish.

Does anybody know what is the biggest possible result?

I got 132 on a Finnish test, where 177 was the biggest possible amount of points.

I think 140 is the maximum you can get on this test. And I asnwered all questions wrongly once, just for fun, and still got 80 or something like that.
