Judas Priest. I don't really have to say anything, do I? This metal act is one of the first and very well respected, almost as much as Hall of Famers Black Sabbath and Metallica. (Probably even more than the latter!)

Am I right in guessing that Atlas likes them, or do I have another thing comin'?

Good band; I don't like them as much as Sabbath, Metallica, and Maiden tho. It'd probably be around 6th or 7th if I made a favorite metal bands list.

I'm judging all these bands on a curve of the probable bands you will be including...with that in mind....

easy HB

nothing wrong them really, just not to my taste.  Better than Motley Crue or Poison, but way below GnR or Skid Row.

Motley Crue is a far better band. They are better than Poison, I'll give you that. Never heard of Skid Row.

I was a hardcore metal head in the mid-to-late 80s, and just never got into Judas Priest. Didn't dislike them, and still don't, but there's nothing about them that excites me. I guess I'll give them borderline Freedom Fighter status if for no other reason that their songs don't suck oh, there are a couple good ones, and it's cool that Rob Halford became the first heavy metal star to come out.

Incidentally, Rob Halford best song is it with priest. It's the song Crazy from his side Venture, fist

Judas Priest is an awesome band, but they suffer from the same affliction that Led Zeppelin does wherein many of their best songs are fairly obscure. They hit it big internationally with their album British Steel, but for me the song Desert Plains beats anything on that album.
