I went to the first meeting of the William and Mary Young Democrats today and a representative from the Kaine campaign came into speak for a bit, and I took a few funny observations:

Never once in the meeting did they speak of Kaine's credentials or vision for the future, everything was "He will continue Warner's legacy", additonally all of the literature featured Kaine standing next to Warner.

They never mentioned Kilgore by name.  They always referred to him as "the other side".

Lastly, the representative said "Virginia is getting to be pretty much even between the Democrats and Republicans"

Not surprising, Kaine is pretty much trying to run as Mark Warner version 2.0. Of course, it would help if he actually talked about some of the plans of his own.

Also, Virginia has a long way to go before it becomes a 50/50 Democratic/Republican split.
