This is the case with most anti-gay assholes in office.

I'm sure his wasn't all that anti-gay.

He needs prayer, to say the least.

He'll also need a job.  Unfortunately, it seems as if all he's ever done is politics.

Obviously nothing.

But usually uptight/domineering people tend to the most sexually submissive people on the planet. And this goes for both sexes.

Nah.

"Busted" in what sense?

Is it a crime to have sex in an office? The Supreme Court's (horribly incorrect) decision in Lawrence v. Texas was not limited to saying that people have a right to do what this politician was doing in one's own home. People now have a constitutional right (according to the Court) to do that conduct period, no matter where they do it.

The scandal isn't that he's gay. The scandal is that he's a sanctimonious hypocrite who covers for his own insecurities by trying to use his position of power to trample the rights of others. Who said anything about a crime?

Also, yikes dude...

I know what the scandal is; I'm just confused about the word "busted."
Is "yikes dude" about my condemnation of Lawrence v. Texas?

Uh, yeah.

I condemn all substantive due process decisions, and that includes decisions such as Griswold v. Conn. The Due Process Clause was only meant to guarantee fair procedures, not judicially acceptable laws. Posters here are condemning this politician for his hypocrisy; Griswold was a very hypocritical opinion. The late Professor David P. Currie wrote that the Court's majority opinion in Griswold, given who wrote it and what that author had said earlier in his career on the Court, was "one of the most hypocritical opinions in the history of the Court." (Source: "The Constitution in the Supreme Court; Second Century, 1888-1986," published in 1990.)

This is a very homophobic thread.  Shameful!  The implication is that the fact that its gay sex makes it somehow worse.

Shame.

When did it become legal to screw wherever you want?

According to his former college roommate, he's more likely to be busted with his right hand while watching incest porn.

Shame.
It's not the fact it's with another man, it's the fact that he actively opposed gay rights and therefore is a hypocrite.

This should be a whole subgenre of gay porn.

Honestly it took one second to look at his legislature photo and believe it.

He definitely gives off "vibes"

Shame.

The fact that he was gay bashing while being himself closeted makes it worse.

He's a total fraud. But why aren't more upset that he had hide who he was, in America. You're man who loves another man. Who cares? He got abused to the social construct of middle America. In LA or another Coast, be you and no one should judge.
