I don't think he will resign. More than likely he will apologize to the victim and move on. One thing's for sure his future presidential bid is not happening.cStill doesn't excuse what he did. The severity of the situation is obviously not even within a 150-mile radius of what Roy Moore is in. If he does resign I would like to see Betty McCollum run. Ellison would be nice too but I don't see him doing it.

Awful stuff, he should resign. I doubt he will. He's done for the future though.

I hope he resigns immediately. That story is incredibly disturbing.

From a political standpoint, as long as there's a picture of him GROPING A WOMAN IN HER SLEEP, he will never win an election again.

Yes. It is not the time to argue over semantics when we are trying to get Moore to lose. Franken must plead guilty, apologize to the American people, and resign immediately.

And I say this as someone who supported Franken's re-election in 2014.

He needs to just get over with it and resign because its going to be an issue for MN Dems in 2018, do you think Franken should be Sen? Oh Franken endorsed candidate X.

It should obviously be Ellison. He's a rising star in the party already. Electing our first Muslim-American Senator would be great.

He's going to receive a lot of pressure from his fellow Senate Dems and state party. I really doubt people like Gillibrand and Hirono are going to welcome him back into caucus after this.

It's OK for Democrats. He will run again and win again in 2020. The left will pretend to care 20 years after the fact.

Literally every democrat here is calling for his resignation. Try again.
