Is this the biggest swing in a state between consecutive presidential elections? I can't think of any that beats it. In 1972 Nixon won Georgia by a whopping 50.4% margin and won every single county. Just four years later, hometown favorite Jimmy Carter won it by 33.8% and also swept every county.

It's the biggest modern swing, but I'm quite sure there were a few larger swings farther back.

Nixon (R) received 9% of the vote in Mississippi in 1968 and 79% of the vote in Mississippi in 1972.
