My hot dog-related take is that they are not sandwiches.

That is the correct take.

Dogchau? I started to write an even punnier response, but reading convinced me it was in poor taste.

What did I do to so upset you?

If it is pointing out that Ted Cruz will be re-elected, this is merely seeking truth from facts, which one would think, given the American left's embrace of the neo-Maoist idea of being a "reality-based community," would be popular on the left.

And for the record, I think your moral positions towards animals are admiral, and unlike some posters, I don't want to eat you. You have to at least give me credit for that.

It's amazing some people still fall for that.

Some people of course probably know what it does but pretend not to to make a joke.

Control of the Senate will probably hinge on Mississippi this cycle. McDaniel is gaining on Hyde-Smith and could blow it like Roy Moore. Not to mention Espy managed to do pretty well with whites in his district (highest he got was 40% of white voters) and is more of a conservative Democrat.

If Alabama could vote blue, Mississippi could definitely do it.

Not a prayer. Whites in Mississippi are even less elastic than Alabama whites, if that's even conceivably possible. McDaniel is a crazy sob just like Roy Moore, but let's be frank about it if Roy moore didn't have the pedophilia and sexual assault scandal he wouldn't have closely lost to Doug Jones. And third there's just no conceivable way Mississippi is going to allow Democratic control of the Senate even if it means electing a wackadoodle, even by Mississippi standards, like McDaniel. Hell, short of some Scandal as similarly bad as Moore's cropping up with McDaniel, which I give at least at one and five or one-in-four chance of occurring because he seems exactly the kind of guy to pull that kind of gross stuff just like Roy Moore, Mississippi wouldn't elect Espy over him even if control of the Senate didn't hinge on it.

It's far too late to achieve this and it would be imprudent policy at this point in time because it might legitimately start a revolution, but, in an ideal world, alcohol would be illegal.  Don't twist my words to say I support banning it because that is impossible, but society would be so much better if alcohol ceased to exist.  Including, I bet the rate of sexual assaults would drop 90%.

Pitbull owners should be ashamed of themselves and the entire breeds should be be either euthanized or bred out, or a combo of both.

Completely agreed. Most pitbull owners don't understand the real danger of their breed, as they have a tendency to unpredictably attack children. 9/10 in the aftermath of a pitbull attack, the pitbull owner will claim (sometimes truthfully) that their dog was the sweetest ever and never displayed any aggression before.

If you want to have a bad time, post on Twitter about this. The amount of offended drinkers coming out of the woodwork would be nuts and I say that as a frequent drinker myself.

Had Mitt Romney won in 2012, he would have had an unsuccessful presidency and would have lost re-election.

I would agree with him and I started at 14. This is as much a benefit for the posters as the forum.

Mandatory Voting is a pretty authoritarian policy/proposal.

People should have as much freedom to not vote as they do to vote.
