It's correctly spelled ANWR. Anwar is a first name mostly used in the Middle East and Africa, ie Anwar Sadat.
Although of course the direct transliteration (ie, letter by letter) of that name is Anwr. Smiley

Less than 20% of Alaskans claim to be Democrats and about 40% claim to be Republican.  the remaining 40% only need to moderately vote Republican to win.  The only way the Democrats can win here is if some right wing lunatic like Alan Keyes had the nomination.
