Based off the 2016 Normie colors map. What makes this map, with the support as per atlas coloring customs?

John W. Davis is elected in 1924 and reelected in 1928.  The Great Depression happens as IRL, and Republicans win landslides in 1930's/40's running to the progressive left.  That's the latest plausible jumping off point IMO. 


You could flip several states by changing late 20th century migration patterns, but not every state in the country.
