From the Minneapolis Star-Tribune

http://startribune.com/stories/462/5569938.html

"Locally, conservative-talk icon Rush Limbaugh's show has lost 43 percent of its audience among 25- to 54-year-olds in the past year. Sean Hannity's show is down a whopping 63 percent. The shift is serious enough that "we're weighing where these shows fit for us in the future," according to Todd Fisher, general manager at KSTP (1500 AM), which carries both syndicated programs."

The article also notes that Al Franken's 25-54 share has increased by 85 percent in the market in the past year. Franken now gets a slighter greater 25-54 share than Hannity.

Are you alleging that these figures are falsified or something?

In Cincinnati, Air America is actually much more popular than Limbaugh and Hannity. In fact, Hannity has almost NO listeners.

Both Limbaugh and Hannity are stale.

Hugh Hewitt is picking up audience.

Gee, a raised in Minnesota picking up popularity in Minnesota.  WHo woulda thunk it.

Has he moved his show to the state yet?  He announced back in APril he was planning it, as I recall.

Anyone else hear the rumor dropped that Al Franken may challenge Norm Coleman for his seat in '08, I believe? If he did, I think that would be a real interesting campaign.

Edit:

Here's an inteview with Franken

hehehe . . . it's easy to go up 85% when you only have 10 listeners in that group.  Wink

Anyway, I think talking heads in general are coming to a short-term retraction.  It's between voting years (in most states) and there's a lack of partisan news that hasn't already been hashed out numerous times already.  It just gets old and boring . . . which is why I don't listen to any of them.

Air America is growing modestly in the area around Washington, D.C.  It doesn't seem to have much room to grow around Richmond though, since Hanover and Caroline Counties are fairly conservative.

I hope you're kidding, because that would mean Hannity now has less then 10 listeners. Either way, you're wrong. Hannity has maybe 15 or 16 Smiley

I've stopped listening to most talk radio because it's patent bull these days. It sounded funny in October, but now it's just old.

Everytime that the facts don't agree with the Republican fantasy world, they have to attack the facts.

Sounds just like what the other party does as well.  Smiley  But then again, that's the failures of a two-party dominated system.

Well the StarTrib is a known propaganda rag. Even the NYT is crystal clean by comparison.

Air America has been picking up steam in NYC as well, albeit the right wing pundits weren't that popular to begin with.
