Neither.
You people are really on MARIA? Should the President wave his magic harry potter want and put the island back together?
You do realize that moving supplies, sending ships and rebuilding infrastructure takes time. Especially when you have to send those supplies to a frickin Island.
And Harvey wasn't that bad? The highest rain totals from a U.S. Tropical system in recorded history? Entire towns under feet of water?
It was much easier to respond to Texas and Florida (the supplies were staged and relief was on the ground within hours after the storm ended.)
Let me guess, the response to Puerto Rico has been slower because they are majority Hispanic, right?
It has nothing to do with the logistics of shipping things to an island.
I have news for you, anyone with two brain-cells can see that the disaster response to Harvey and Irma were light-years ahead of Katrina and Sandy.
The response to PR is underway. The military is actually airdropping relief in as we speak.
Yet you people would rather lie about the President and actually hope that people in PR suffer because you DESPERATELY want another Katrina.
Too bad, so sad, it isn't happening.
Keep on REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEing.
I honestly, can't believe the nonsense that is spouted in here. This place makes DU look sane.
I'm out, but I'll come back from time to time to drink year tears of unfathomable sadness in the future!
