McCaskill hints that she was able to get a list of the amendments in the bill via lobbyists. Does anyone here have access to that list?

Several Democrats just had a discussion with the parliamentarian for several minutes. We're not aware of exactly what was discussed.

As the old saying goes, a verbal promise isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Well it appears Democrats are done offering those stupid motions to recommit. Only took 8 attempts.

Make them vote against it! And while you're at it, try reintroducing education + healthcare deductions and force them to vote it down too!

This bill also still has to go to conference. If Collins amendments are all stripped out, I could see her voting no on the new bill. If Corker votes no tonight, then he'll probably vote no on the conference'd bill. I'm trying to figure out who the third no vote would come from.

Susan Collins is officially a yes

Does the Alabama race even matter now regarding tax reform?

Doug Jones would make it three.

Like I said, the bill still has to go to conference. If it comes out with all of Collins amendments stripped, then her yes vote could be in jeopardy.

If enough Democrat Senators played the delay game regarding throwing votes in to send the bill back to committee, then we would have had a real shot at delaying the bill until McCain had to go back to Arizona continue his cancer treatments, which would have costed the Republicans a yes vote.

You do realize how underhanded the Democrats would have looked doing that, right?

Democratic pickup in Maine confirmed for 2020.

Yes to the latter, if Doug Jones were to win (and Corker votes no) then Pence pushing this through would be a bad look.

Um, WHY?

You want to unite the public against this tax bill and so at the height of the debate you decide to go with Frankenstein of all people?

The two are completely unrelated

Not saying they have to vote for it. Just get GOPers on the record against it. And as many other things as possible.

McConnell and Ryan have come out in favor of ending the Paygo cuts that will hurt entitlement programs  due to the tax bill.

I hope they follow through with this.

The only question right now seems to be whether this passes with 52 or 51 votes, with or without Corker.
