As someone who doesn't have down syndrome and still wishes that I was aborted, I say Freedom Action.

Horrible and should be illegal, as should all abortions apart from rape, incest, lack of access to contraception ect.

It's not a "freedom action" (yikes) but it's a completely understandable decision. Voted option one.

Option 2.  I find it terrible to abort people for having such disabilities, and abortion itself is not a good thing.  Still, laws against abortion are counterproductive.

Having an abortion is always a horrible action, but sometimes it is necessary.  If my wife and I were to find out that our unborn baby has down syndrome or something equally debilitating, then we would go with an abortion (though naturally -since she's the one pregnant- I would defer to her).

My fiancée and I have came to the same conclusion. Luckily we live a country and state where this is would not be an issue.

Option 3.

I can see the argument for worse conditions that are more likely to not live a full life and are actually horrible for the child/will cause suffering, and could support option 2 in those cases. But in many cases with Downs Syndrome, as long as they receive appropriate medical care, they can still love long, happy, and healthy lives, and cannot support the option to abort solely for that reason.

This. Wulfric didn't specify the time the abortion is being done, and yet everyone here is going "MURDER!!!11". Typical. All non-late-term abortions are understandable decisions that the woman should be able to make.

I refuse to vote out of principle because you refer to a heartbreaking decision such as this as a "Freedom Action", as if gleefully supporting such abortions is a mainstream position.

Ok, that is kind of a loaded question with the way you worded it. But also I wish you had included two different sets - for pro-life and for pro-choice, to see if anyone is actually voting different than their views on general abortion would suggest.

The only way this question is relevant is if you're requiring women to justify why they want an abortion. I don't believe that anyone should have to do that, so it's an irrelevant question to me. If the abortion is legal, she should be allowed to have it, no questions asked.

That's my opinion for what it's worth. I didn't vote in the poll.
