Boxing star Oscar De La Hoya is "seriously considering" a run for President.

https://www.boxingscene.com/de-la-hoya-very-serious-about-potential-run-president--131698

Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard on the Joe Rogan Podcast right now, reaching out to quite an interesting niche:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIb2lmHgd5s

Oscar De La Hoya? Really, Who's next Mike Tyson? Floyd Mayweather?

Oh, and did I mention De La Hoya has duel citizenship with Mexico that he'd have to give up?

I always get Oscar De La Hoya mixed up with Oscar de la Renta:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar_de_la_Renta

Umm, how? One's a really talented boxer, the other's a fashion designer who dressed up Jackie Kennedy.

If you need that one explained to you, you have problems.

Lol. Best answer ever.

Wait, if we're running fashion designers for President now, I propose Tommy Hilfiger, solely because he has one of the few New York penthouses that rivals Trump's in terms of combining extreme opulence and a complete lack of aesthetic appeal.

Bloomberg would be better off running as an Independent. He might be the only Independent candidate who could win the Electoral College (if he spent about a billion dollars).

Trump would win WV by 80-20 and Ohio by 15 points and Michigan,Iowa and Wisconsin by 10. Bloomberg is Hillary on steroids, a giant FU to the rust belt basically. Even Minnesota would vote for Trump.

Yeah, he's a good guy but his time has passed. He would make a fine Commerce Secretary though.

It seems the Democrats didn't learn anything from 2016. Bloomberg would be an utter disaster in the rust-belt.

What? How does Bloomberg considering to run mean that the Democrats haven't learned anything from 2016? There is no indication so far he would get any significant support from primary voters or even from the party.

Somebody compared Michael Bloomberg to Jeb Bush: both have access to considerable financial resources, but they ultimately can't win a primary because they don't appeal to any significant sector of their respective parties.

So how deep is the 2020 field looking now? I haven't kept count, but it seems like everyone wants to be president this time.

"I think we need a candidate who -- who is bold and willing to think big."

If that's the case, then I guess we need a candidate other than Deval Patrick.

I mean, what is he trying to do here, make people not support him?
