You're already on the ballot, you can't declare for write in (it has no effect).

Yeah a write in for you has the same effect as a vote I'm pretty sure because you are still one candidate. Mostly sure he was joking anyways.

Anyhow eight will be elected now with the 2 write ins.
Wait seriously, how is that allowed.

The number of seats is two minus the number of candidates. We have seven declared candidates and three write ins (there is precedent of this to some extent - see November 2017 and November 2016 for proof). Since the likely seventh and eighth place vote getters have past experience, it's not a bad thing n the instance but it should be modified in some way, shape, or form in the future.
