Yeah, there's no way I'm continuing this shit for five more months. Not having the pressure of running for babysitter president again was the best I'd felt about the game in a long time, but this clearly grew into overconfidence about many things, only for me to see grown-ass men throwing fits about memes, right after I'd bent over backwards and rolled over members of my own party to get some of these guys their preferred gun legislation passed. And, no matter how hard I wish it was the case, this just ain't the same game it was ten years ago.

You won't have Scott [...] to kick around anymore.

So here's my Shermanesque statement, to all of you: I will not accept if nominated and will not serve if elected. That one's a promise, and one I won't be reneging on.

Yeah, my interpretation of the law is that you can only run for one office. Part of the reason we changed the rules is that people were using Parliament as an office to fall back on if they lose another election (and that inevitably resulted in many vacancies).

The way it reads implies "one office, unless..."

So this part is basically "In general, one candidacy only"

This part seems to modify the previous to state that a House of Commons candidate can run for one, and only one, other office, as long as said other office is not the presidency or vice presidency.

Hmm. I'm inclined to agree; thanks for clarifying.

Peebs can run for either senator or First Minister in addition to Parliament, but not both.

As I was sort of expecting, the next few months are going to be a bit busier for me. I've already been unable to put in the time this game deserves. So with that said, I will not seek reelection to Parliament in February.
