While I'm pretty sure this doesn't actually require my signature, I want to make clear that my administration fully supports this resolution.

Given concerns I had with this bill, outlined below:
Agreeing with Yankee on this one. While I understand the idea that those who leave the game should not be able to do so easily and without consequences, I personally feel like it is a bad idea keep people from the game when we have times where activity is very low.

The game previously not allowing deregistration was probably the better idea, and I wish more were on board with going back to that. since it eliminates these sorts of issues.

And an error pointed out by Speaker NC Yankee:
This bill was never amended to reflect or repeal the recently passed Deregistration Waiting Period Act, which delays the deregistration a week after it is applied for. This bill sets that at 48 hours.

President fhtagn delivers a speech concerning the situation in North Korea

My fellow Atlasians, as many of your are aware, we've been faced with continued conflict as a result of the Second Korean War. While we can thankfully say this time around that Atlasia and our soldiers have not been at risk, this is not an issue that we can remain silent on. At the end of the Second Korean War, we made agreements with the post-war (and now exiled) government of the People's Republic of Korea. In an effort to maintain those agreements, and to promote solidarity with our allies in the Pacific, we must take steps to work towards recognizing the PRK as North Korea's legitimate government. Over the next few weeks, we will we working with our allies in South Korea, China, and Japan to determine what can be done to promote stability in the region, and to end this conflict as soon as possible. We will also be working with our allies to determine how we can help the humanitarian crisis the region is currently facing and will continue to face as a result of the war. Once details about the plan have been hammered out, it is my hope to continue the work that this administration has accomplished with the Senate to keep everyone on board, and to ensure we are promoting better relations with our current allies, and allies we can look forward to in the future.

So, while I fully support this bill, there is a particular section that had been recently added to this bill that I cannot agree with, and because of this, I cannot sign it into law. That being said, I will be submitting a redraft omitting the part in question.

I have submitted a redraft of the Cheaper Medicine Helps the Poors Act to the Senate (where the bill originated) omitting Section 9.

The redraft can be viewed here:

I probably should have asked this when I was still in Congress, but where does the federal government get the authority to dictate the contents of regional curriculums? Or does this merely require the regions to meet these standards in exchange for federal funds?

To my knowledge, it's merely a requirement in exchange for federal funds. The point of the Return Education to the Regions Act was to allow the regions to dictate what all is included in their curriculums, but at the very least we must ensure that there are some minimum requirements to meet to ensure all of our children are receiving a quality education.

President fhtagn delivers a speech concerning the current events in the North Korean Civil War.

Good morning to all who are currently tuning in and seeing this message this morning.

As many of you know, we've received some recent news about some trouble with our promised humanitarian aid in North Korea not reaching the intended recipients, and we have received news that the PRK has been reestablished in the region, with allies holding on to the southern territory.

In response to this, we have ordered our troops in South Korea to take control of the distribution of the promised food and medical aid, to ensure that what we promised is going into the right hands. I am also willing to work with Congress on approving any additional aid in the event that the region needs more than has already been approved.

I have also extended an offer to South Korea, Japan, and the PRK to send our troops in South Korea to aid in the defense of the southern territory. While at this time we will not be engaging in offensive attacks, we will be doing all we can to ensure that the PRK maintains their reestablishment in the region. I have also offered to send in the Army Corps of Engineers to help build refugee camps and assist in any necessary rebuilding operations.

Secretary of State Reactionary and I will of course be monitoring the situation, and are willing to make any necessary changes as needed and requested by our allies as more develops.

Thank you all for your time, and Dave bless Atlasia.

Thank you, Madam President. While of course I would favor a somewhat different course of approach, this is a proactive, positive step in the right direction and I welcome it wholeheartedly.
