Glad to see that JMC and DDHQ have no idea how to poll. Undecideds will break towards Strange enough for him to win.

Quoting this so he can't delete it if Moore wins.

Anyway, I think Moore wins 54-46 or 55-45 in the end, but who knows.

I would be happy if Strange won, but Moore will get his voters out, Strange is just too "meh" to excite his voters.

* for this poll, which committed the sin of potentially priming the respondents before the ballot test question. Before asking who they would vote for, they asked who they thought was more supportive of Trump. This question split Strange 50%, Moore 40%. It is entirely possible that Moore would have led by more in the ballot question had it been the first question asked. Anyone that knows anything about polling knows that questions like these can affect subsequent answers.

lol those favorable ratings for Strange are out of step from every other poll we've seen. what did they surge over night?

I'm ready to say this is a junk poll.

Nice to see Strange closing the gap! Prefer him over somebody who literally advocates for abolishing same-sex marriage on their website.

Why is Strange so vulnerable? Usually incumbents - even appointed ones - aren't in that much trouble. He loyally supported Trump in a state that one of the most pro-Trump ones.

Why is Strange so vulnerable? Usually incumbents - even appointed ones - aren't in that much trouble. He loyally supported Trump in a state that one of the most pro-Trump ones.

1. Appointed by former Gov Bentley, who resigned in disgrace a few months later

2. Appointed by Gov Bentley while he was Attorney General -- while he was supposed to be investigating Bentley

3. Told the Alabama House to stop investigating Bentley for a bit so he could be confirmed (iirc)

4. Heavily funded by Mitch McConnell, who is less popular than cockroaches

Strange fits the 'Washington establishment' stereotype to a T and so Moore -- who is more anti-establishment than John Peter Altgeld -- has taken up the 'drain the swamp' pledge. Trump's endorsement hasn't swayed a lot of people in a local race with lots of complicated factors already involved.
