Who could you see as a Jimmy Carter style dark horse candidate in 2020? Someone lesser known who could come out and supprise us all.

Catherine Cortez Masto. I feel like she has the ambition. Not to play on looks but she does look like someone who could be president.

Thinking of celebrity names, how about Dwayne Johnson or Oprah Winfrey?  It seems with Trump's win maybe a celebrity will jump in, but who knows.

I know this won't happen, but the funniest would be have Stone Cold Steve Austin as Democrat nominee (not sure what party he is though) as he is the only person to have actually punched Donald Trump (okay it was staged) in real life.

Tammy Baldwin. She's much more likeable than Warren but just as progressive as her, has proven that she can win in Wisconsin (we'll see what happens in 2018, but I don't see her losing) and could unite the different factions of the Democratic Party. She wouldn't have an easy time in the Democratic Primary, though.

Perhaps one of the Democrat governors.  Mark Dayton, Jay Inslee, and John Hickenlooper maybe, although not sure if any of them are interested.

I really like Tammy, but there are many people who will vote against her simply because of her sexuality. I agree it's a bulls**t reason to vote against someone, but there are people like that out there.

Eh... maybe, but if it didn't hurt her in Wisconsin (a potential tipping point state), I doubt it will hurt her much nationally. The voters who care about stuff like that were never going to vote Democratic in the first place.

This is a great choice. She has a lot of strong unifying elements to her.

Iowa and New Hampshire are too close, you can't really camp out in both of them.

If the Dem nominee in 2020 is a man, I believe she's an early frontrunner for the VP slot. A Biden/Baldwin ticket could be formidable.

Not on the grid, small town Oregon kid from a WWC family Mill-Town background who plays very well in both strong;y 'Pub and Dem precincts and counties throughout the State of Oregon.
