I know this is pretty late and I was (and still am) rooting for Golden before this primary, but why was St. Clair not a good choice? I wasn't very familiar with him.

Boring and made some bizarre comments about the getting money out of politics is “divisive”

What Hindsight is 2020 said, but it’s worse.

St. Clair is a carpetbagger, extraordinarily wealthy and his mother bought a bunch of rural land I try to turn it into a National Park but prohibited hunting and fishing on it, put up fences, and forced people from their cabins.

He's not going to hit 50% but he needs like only 10% of Olson voters to win

Presuming Golden is the nominee, is it fair to rate this Tilt D?

NY Times no longer updating for some reason, but BDN has Golden back at 49.8. Democratic Party is treating him as the nominee, too, though still no formal concession from St. Clair.

Wow, these were two of the coolest candidates we've had in a while! St. Clair had that Rugged Maine Man look while also looking like a Latte Liberal who wears L.L. Bean vests and plaid shirts.

Golden of course is tough, which sets up a stark contrast with Poliquin. And he has a tattoo, which may be a positive in Bangor and Augusta, though he will have to earn back the trust of the Francophones.

He's down by nearly ten points and Golden is brushing the magic 50%. When is St. Clair going to be ready?

More-or-less a concession from St. Clair:
