I'd rather not say precisely but generally started in the construction business, graduated to being real estate developers in a small way  and finally in retirement landlords.  A very typical progression - in fact supposedly a majority of America's millionaires made their money in real estate.

No, I'm a poor despite having origins among the Georgia plantocracy. At the end of the day, my paternal family is (or more correctly, was) of North-East mining stock and I'm as proud of that as I am my Georgia roots

I don't own a home, but I could buy one easily on my income.  We're moving in less than a year for my wife's grad school, at which time we'll probably buy a home.

We own two cars outright - no payments.

I voted yes.



Sheesh, man, owning a couple of cars is almost a liability.  You're certainly not in the owning class - you would need assests sufficient to provide a generous income without work in order to be.
