I took the test from my mom's perspective and got this:

Economic Left/Right: -2.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.56

That's around what I expected. Although I bet that 10 years ago she would've been a bit more authoritarian. Interestingly she got more socially liberal as she got older, when most people expect the opposite, I suspect that seeing me and my brothers grow up made her realize the scare campaigns social conservatives say about society are largely bunk and got a lot less restrictive of the type of movies she lets my youngest brother watch.

I'm planning on doing my dad and two brothers but I promised to come into work early today so I don't have the time. After work...

My Dad's a conservative, always has been.

I had my mom take the pc test the other day, and she got something like -3.5 Eco, -2 Social, yet she's voted for Bush twice!

Neither of my parents are political. My mom is extremely ignorant about politics and voted for Bush because she "didn't like Kerry" and he was going to "raise her taxes" (my Mom makes less than $30,000 a year).

My dad is disaffected by the whole process and usually votes libertarian or some other 3rd party candidate, although he may have voted for Kerry in this last election. I haven't asked him. I would definitely think that he is more liberal/libertarian than my mom.

So obviously my political views are truly my own, and were not influenced by my family.

Both of my parents took the test. My mom was about -4, -4, and my dad was -7, -3

I had them take the test orally, but that was a number of years ago, and I only looked up one of them. I still have their answers, but they have changed the questions, so I don't know. I think I found my moms score to be around 0 left/right and maybe +3 on the other axis. My dad is probably in the lower right quadrant. Needless to say, they are both far from me. Smiley

Anyways, here's how my family is:
Me- You now me.

My brother (Kerry/Edwards 2008)- Claims to be a member of the Green Party. Very liberal.

My other brother- Also claims to be a member of the Green Party, but is like Cosmo Kramer, minus the anti-gay and pro-life rhetoric, but doubling the anti-Muslim.

My mom- A democrat, and liberal, but moderate on economic issues.

My dad- An Arlen Specter-Republican. He's liberal on social issues, while moderately conservative on economic issues. You can see his positions in the PA Governor 2006 Scenario, which he filled out in person.

My cousin- Liberal independent, liberal on both economic and social issues.

My other cousin- Same as above, only moderate on economic issues.

Never had them take the test but this is what I'm guessing:

Let's see Dad's rather moderate all the way around especially on social issues. Rather pro-free market. I'd give him:

E: +3.5
S: +1

Let see. Mom is rather socially conservative, die hard Republican and actually enjoyed Ayn Rand. I'd give here:

E: +5.5
S: +6

My mom would probably be about a 0 economic, +5 social.  My dad would be a +2 economic, +2 social.   My sister would be a +5 economic, -3 social, but she wouldn't care and would think you're all stupid and the test was dumb.

My wife and I have extremely similar views.  Probably because I am easily swayed Smiley.

Mom would be about a 4 economic, 1 social; dad about a 5 economic, -1 social. my brother's probably about 5, -3, and my sister's about -1, -4 (she's the schoolteacher...).

My Dad's around a E5, S3 and my Mom's a E2, S2 approximately. My only sister that is anywhere near politically aware is a typical anti-Bush moron.

And of course now you've turned into a authoritarian populist.

Jake, maybe I'm missing an inside joke, but what is all this stuff I've seen about you being a fascist?  I've never detected an sign of fascism from you, so it must be a joke.

A while back a user made a "Facist Party" in the Fantasy elections, and he said he liked the idea. That was all.

BRTD (?) I think, maybe JFraud, called me a fascist a while back. It's certainly a joke as I do not subscribe to that radical of an ideology, or the hate that usually accomponies that ideology.

ma's a liberal.  Didn't need a test to tell her that.  Although she is a bit more moderate than a lot of people on this site.  She got something like a Economic: -4,  Social: -2.5 I think.  As for my sister, wouldn't care, would consider it a waste of her time, and I have no desire to push her to do it.  I guess I could get my dad to do it, but I really don't care about the test.  My guess it he'd score very slightly in the libertarian quadrant, like a Joe Republic score, about a Economic: +1, Social: -.5

This is my dad:

Economic Left/Right: 1.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.72

I think it's worth pointing out I had to almost outright guess on a lot of these, because I'm not too familiar with his stances, and doubt he cares on many. He has an attitude against "political elites"(read, the two main parties) and usually doesn't vote based on ideology or the issues, but often just for the strongest third party. So these numbers don't mean much.

Now for my brothers...
