No. He's clearly made climate change his issue that he will champion for the remainder of his life. He's done with politics.

His last, best chance to win the nomination was 2008, as he would have boxed Obama out, and probably beaten Hillary.

Now, he's just too rusty to defeat a crowded field that could include Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders (who have both run National campaigns before), plus rock stars like Elizabeth Warren and Tulsi Gabbard (not that I like her) running.

What if Stridin' Biden and the Bern sit out 2020 due to age?

Warren reminds me of an older, female Obama... Gore would probably endorse her, not run against her...and in any case he's just too rusty to beat a crowded field.

He hasn't run for any elected office since 2000... which would be 20 years past by Election Day 2020. That's rusty.

Let's say he runs for another office before that

Just stop, please...you don't go from being VPOTUS to being out of politics for eighteen years to Governor of Tennessee for one year to POTUS. You just don't.

This, he could've ran a "buyer's remorse" campaign and won easily.

The SCOTUS has already stolen from Gore his right to find out if he actually won or lost once, so why would he put himself through that again? The SCOTUS was neither ignored nor punished (both of which would have been appropriate responses to what it did), and it has certainly not gotten any less conservative than in Dec, 2000. If I were in Gore's shoes, I would not want the SCOTUS to thwart me again.

And, to quote a line from the movie Nixon, he would "have trouble convincing voters that this is not another run for the presidency."

SCOTUS didn't cost Gore the presidency. If he would've let Clinton campaign for him he would've picked up a southern state or two, and Florida would've been irrelevant. Gore was so confident he would win Tennessee that he didn't even pay attention to it.
