If Walker runs as a independent with say jim webb for example as his vp how would this effect the election?
Also if Kasich ran as a independent would walker be a smart choice for vp?

They maybe get 5% of the national vote and no state. Two-thirds of their voters are defecting from the Republican Party, one third are more leaning towards the Democrats. Democratic ticket wins by a fair margin.

Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA)/Former Governor Terry McAuliffe (D-VA): 367 EV. (48.54%)
President Donald J. Trump (R-NY)/Vice President Michael R. Pence (R-IN): 171 EV. (44.36%)
Former Governor John Kasich (I-OH)/Governor Bill Walker (I-AK): 0 EV. (5.85%)

It's possible he makes Alaska competitive due to the "home state bonus effect" but he isn't go to win it, and he's not going to be competitive anywhere else.

Also, I don't see how he wins re-election in 2018, let alone is able to run for President. Democrats aren't going to run a fusion ticket with him again, and Republicans probably will run a stronger candidate this time (maybe Charisse Millett or Peter Micciche?)
