Ridiculous. I can kindaaaa get restricting people actively taking hormone treatments during SRS from the front lines but there are SO many non-combat roles where anyone and everyone can and should be welcomed to serve openly.

So how do you think the troops (in all services) feel about this?

A lot actually want it, some are more libertarian on it, others have more concerns about the bullying that would logically ensue, urinalysis observation concerns, barracks, squad bays, berthings, etc.

An incredibly disgusting proposal that's only going to harm the US army by diluting it's talent pool - while pushing out already trained personel (sure they won't be discharged; but would you stick around with the person who is intimately your boss pushing things like this?).  A large number of NATO members including the UK have had trans people serving in their forces for a lot longer than the US and it has had no impact on "battle worthiness".  This is just a group of people pushing their agenda on a country, and screw any practical impacts that it may have.
